Remaining UFAs

Just thought I'd point out that there is something very similar about a near majority of the remaining UFAs on the market. Check out this list of signings we could make...

Trevor Linden
Eric Weinrich
Lyle Odelein
Brian Savage
Eric DesJardins
Martin Rucinsky
Yanic Perreault
Valeri Bure
Igor Ulanov
Jim Dowd

We should try and rebuild the team of 1993!!! (trading Eric D., Chelios and Matt Schneider...tsk, tsk...was our GM smoking crack?)

Seriously though, is there anyone left we should think about going after? Will Daze ever play again? Would Domi be a good 4th. line filler? Could we use Dvorak, Kozlov, Kvasha or Sykora? Or are they all soft players that are still on the market for that reason? What about younger guys who have been freed up like Surovy or Hall?

Hmmm...

So all the players nobody wants were once an integral part of our team. Interesting.

Not yet. There have been talks that he could sign a contract with Toronto, but it still hasn't been done yet.

I would start the season with what we have and go from there. Hell I bet you more then a couple of those guys might not get a contract until after the season has started.

I would be tempted to reunite an all-Russian line adding Kozlov to center Kovalev and Sammy but this all-time overachiever will always have somebody like me who still thinks he could turn things around even though he won't ......

I dont like anyone on your list, but if serge aubin or mike leclerc could be had for

minimum wage, they would be worth the money, weather there is a spot for them...

Where did Danny Markov signed I must have missed that one. He would've looked awesome here.

It was a selective list. Not an all inclusive one. (not that I would know if Markov signed or not)

Chelios wasn't on the '93 team.

How many points did Yanic Perault have last year?? He is also a great face off man, maybe he could be a good 3-4th liner???

The only way that would happen is if Bonk was to be put on waivers. Why sign Perrault when we already have all of our centres locked?
