Miller is clearly wearing jersey number 1 tonight. Wow

Enroth is on fire!

And RJ's gotta be sick of adding "...but not out" every time the Sabres take a whack at the puck in their own zone.

Collectively, seems the D are all too light on puck movement tonight. Not strong on anything.

Enroth: another player who's better when freed from the clutches of Lindy Ruff

Rolston playing with fire -- Brennan and Grigorenko out there at the same time. Lot's of stick waving in the d-zone.

The Devils know how to forecheck, I will give them that. We are pathetic in our own zone

NJ crowd seems quiet. Glad to know the FNC isn't the only quiet building

Sabres had golden chances man oh man, I'm watching this one. Hope we as Sabres enthusiasts here pull it off. Every point is gold now

Offensively our D has been quite good. Lots of good play at the point to keep the pressure on. Defense it's like they aren't talking to each other...at all. So many communication breakdowns...

I'm still surprised Loktionov got traded for virtually nothing, he has looked like a promising young player when I have seen him.

It's what they do with the puck in their own zone that worries me. Dainty plays don't get the puck out. Call it timid, call it weak, call it whatever you want -- bottom line is they collectively have been bad at it particularly tonight. Normally stronger players have been noticeably bad -- Ehrhoff, Sekera, Weber.

They also play passively and collapse a lot in the defensive zone. It leads to a lot of long shifts in the defensive zone because nobody challenges the guy on the puck. It's basically a "drop to the net and pray it doesn't get deflected int" system.

Really annoying when you consider Miller is pretty good at stopping anything he can see but has trouble reacting to tips or seeing the puck through traffic.

Seems like either side's D is giving chances but the Goalies have been bailing 'em out.
