at this point, for any of these remaining players to become NHL regulars (i.e. 3rd line center for 8 years)...is nothing short of a pipedream.

Byers looks like the closest to a surefire 4th line guy (a la Dan LaCouture)
and for me, an easy selection over the reamining players.

PS - a wildcard may be our 5th rounder Zaborsky. I see him as a fast riser, a hit or miss pick, and I like him after Byers to round out the top 30.

May I suggest ending the poll after #30? We're down to people who are either long shots, or have little upside, or who we know really nothing about.

The poll always ends at 30, well there is one more round after that just for "honorable mentions".

Potter. Add Koverko.

I think some of the guys we are dickering about here might squeak into the top 20 of some other teams' prospect lists.

I agree bmoak - IMHO, a guy like Zaborsky could easily be on many Top 20's based on potential alone. I think we may be the deepest organization-not most talented, but deepest.
Being that we are 'New York', if we can find the right chemistry, we can always add to it if the player is right (i.e. a Lecavalier or Thornton-type)

Being that we're ending the poll at 30, I see our honorable mention going 10 deep (we do have 40 PROSPECTS...true prospects) and out of those 10, I could see a couple playing in the NHL, and possibly one making a name for himself a few years down the line.

Just kinda wondering: If the poll was just Holt versus any of the other prospects people are naming, would Holt still be winning?

no, he'd be getting his *** kicked - and it's beyond me why people are voting for him.
ECHL goalie at #29 when we have another 5-10 guys that should be ahead

I think that's almost certainly true. I think a lot of these guys in the back half of the top 20 would probably be between #10 and #15 on most teams' lists.

Voted for Falardeau, did not see Holt. OOPs.

Holts playoff performance merits a vote.

I admit bias for Lee. He surprised me with his continued development last year. The boy has sand and does what his coaches tell him to do. I think he has a good chance to make it to the NHL as a solid 4th... maybe even 3rd liner.
