The Canadiens offered a AHL contract to Cédrick Desjardins.
Even if doors of many Québec universities were opening to him, Cedrick Desjardins opted for the one that leads to professionnal hockey. The goaltender that helped the Québec Remparts to win the Memorial Cup has joined the Canadiens big family by signing a two-year contract with the Hamilton Bulldogs, their AHL affiliate.

Isn't this exactly what I said DESJARDINS TO HAMILTON, I don't know why everyone changed it to ECHL

According to the article he is Hamilton property much like Benoit and Sanford were last year but he can still be sent to the ECHL in the same way that Habs playes can be sent to Hamilton. Looks like a good depth signing to me and who knows, the guy is only 21 years old.
I guess it can't hurt, especially if Lacasse really is going back to the Q for another year. Basically, a Michaud-calibre replacement for Michaud. Better than wasting a late-round draft pick on a goalie, IMO. Now what I really want is for them to sign Bisaillon.
Meh....ive never been a fan of his, he has always played on high octane teams...less pressure.
Plus his gear was massive...a lot of times the puck would just hit him and he would have no clue what happened. With shrinking gear i dont see him as a good prospect, but thats my opinion.

I agree his gear was big... but at least when it bounces off him, you know he's at the right place, good positionnally... always liked the kid's attitude, good signing

Nothing wrong with his attitude, from what ive heard anyway.
Positionally he is ok, but technically he has huge holes. But what helped his positioning was his huge gear...if that shrinks he will have to be even better positionally, and he still needs to improve his technical game, big time.
