You have to love the way the habs rebounded from a tough 2nd where Carolina was just killing us. So happy for Price though, he has 2 rough games and comes back with one of if not the best game of the season for him.

Solid game by Price. The first period was great, notably his save on Staal. It had been a long time since i had seen him challenge the shooter and make a big glove save. Saw a lot of action and kept the game close despite a weak 2nd goal.

Subban is amazing, wish we had signed him long term. If anyone is a sure thing on that team it's him.

- Price was really good. Only reason the game was still there to win in the 3rd.

- There will be lots of Ryder bashing, but let's face it, he is NOT A LEFT WINGER. He's a right winger. Playing him on LW is a waste of everyone's time.

- The problem is that there are NO other solutions to this Ryder/Pleks line LW problem until Bourque is back with Chucky - Larry - Prusty being too productive to break up right now.

- Speaking of that line, WOW. Too bad Galchenyuk could not register a point that he deserved.

- Gorges is a boss, he tends to be very clutch with his points.

- Markov and Subban have no chemistry on the PP. Absolutely hilarious that was a legit feeling a few days ago. Just a devastating duo on the PP. The fun is just starting.

- The character this team has is something else. Every time we think the wheels are falling off they right the ship.
Well, Subban has always been beastly from the LEFT point, and guess what, that's what they did. Rather than put Markov there, Markov was moved to the right point.

No way a team needs 60 pts to make a playoff. It should be less than that.

Basically.

Haters - "Price never steals any games for Montreal"

Price steals the game

Haters - "ummm... pff, Price should steal every game for Montreal"

Few observations:

- Price will be ok. Bad game and bad sequences happen. He's a very good goalie.

- I still don't get the Cole trade. Habs could have kept him, then trade him in the summer for a third round draft pick alone. Habs would be better with him than with Ryder.

- habs defense is suspect at best. Pk is getting better and better, but markov is dangerously going down. A d-man would be better welcomed at the deadline than all the Clowe of the world.

- Prust is an amazing signing!

- Put ward in net, add a healthy tuomo ruttu and a top 4 d-man, and Carolina becomes one of the best team in the conference. Eric Staal is a beast.

It's okay, they beat the Leafs. I'd rather just have to compete with one of those two loser teams. Toronto can go back to the basement where the belong.

Stolen game isn't a definitive statistic. It's a wholly subjective and artificial declaration. Those who use it as some kind of hillbilly-esque rating system are out to lunch...of spam and eggs.

Note to posters: Please stop calling for mid-season Gionta trades. How can the team justify trading a captain midseason when in first? Bad contract, fine, but think a bit. The weakest spots on the roster is the lack of a size/toughness/more varied option as the 6th/7th/8th defenceman, and ironically the 2 spots that were filled with Therrien's homies (4th line RW and #6 defenceman). Those are his guys so expect we'll live or die with them.

In the meantime the team has three really talented centres, a tough mother****ing (even point producing!) sherrif, will pick up Bourque and Diaz @ the deadline and we have the luxury of having a #1 defenceman in Subban/Markov on the ice for almost the entire game.

Bit of a shaky patch for the team but it should be smoothed over as these next 2 games are very winnable and all of a sudden the team's looking at a 3 game streak.. but when the time comes to make a roster move or two hopefully Bergevin doesn't tinker with it too much, your first "tinker" of moving Cole may not hurt too much as the East is laughably bad except for Boston/Pens/Devils.. have to wait a couple of weeks for a few Western conference teams to fall out of the race and that should give us a better idea of what players we can hope to bring in.. don't see anyone in the East wanting to help us/too many players from the bottom feeding clubs that are very interesting

This game was offered to you by Rocky Balboa.

Canes spent all their energy in our zone in the 2nd and were really flat in the 3 rd.

Big win.

As far as I'm concerned, Weber is done as a Hab.

Maybe we should trade Ryder for an additional pick or two?

There is a bunch of hardcore Price haters who have been pretty stupid, like a bunch of hardcore Price who have been pretty retarded. So much Habs fans, of course there is gonna be some extremist mentally challenged ones. The Carey Price Suck forum is probably the biggest pool of hilarous retard on the net.

At 6.5M top 3 goalie cap hit in the NHL what do you think he should be doing ? Play average ?

Gionta is going nowhere and will be an important asset in the playoffs.
