Lavy doesn't change his tactics, he just shakes up lines or pulls his goaltender. If that is the best he has to offer when things go wrong, it's time to go.

Pens switched to neutral zone clogging after the 1st, and, as usual, in this situation our coach had no answer.
Probably one of the better tactics for the neutral zone clog is to gain the red line and dump and chase. Lavy didn't even get them to do that.
In his presser he is saying they stopped skating and putting the puck behind them....so he's saying it was players not executing. They went to sleep in the 2nd.....according to him. Ok why are they sleeping on ya?
There were 35 minutes after we all thought 'uh oh, this isn't working any more' where he should have adjusted it. He did nothing. He has the tactical awareness of a cannonball. He shouldn't be coaching above peewee level quite frankly, His Plan B is Plan A again.
Hahah best post of the nite..
****ing spot on..
seriously this post perfectly explains why Lavi needs to go.
He didn't change his system vs Boston in the playoffs and vs NJ in the playoffs after that. If he doesn't change then then why would he now? A guy with his attitude and his idea that he is always right and nothing should get changed cannot settle well with the players. Unless they want to clean house again and trade Giroux like they did Richards/Carter last time??
They picked the coach over the players once, and it won't happen again.
Lavy did his Andy Reid impersonation we gotta do a better job he says
He looked like a deer in headlights...he seems resigned...no fire.
I thought Hartnell earlier trying to defend him a bit was actually a red flag. Both him and G however both said they don't know why they let up as a team and they know what they have to do and Lavy told them what they have to do. Ok once again..why don't you feel like doing it and listening to him? Sounds like you don't have total buy in hence the inconsistency....
I like Lavy and think he is a good coach, but it is probably time. The Flyers need a new coach, but the question is who? I don't think Ruff is the answer. I would not want Torts if he gets released by the NYR. I would like a guy like Babcock who runs a puck possession system. I wonder if there is a chance Detroit gets rid of him, highly doubt it.
Edit: I also wouldn't mind seeing a new GM being brought in. I feel like Homer shouldn't get off either. He is the one who gets the players, trades, signs, and manages the cap situation. All those trading away of draft picks for rentals and giving guys long contracts with NTCs/NMCs has helped create this situation where we have no light down in the system.
