The guy just played his worst game possibly in his time in a Leafs uniform, and you're telling me this isn't a reaction thread? Bull ****.
Might be a reaction from the OP, but there's been a thread going on all week about Kessel and he has not been viewed favourably despite playing reasonably well over that stretch. Don't act like the negativity revolving around Kessel is caused by one bad game, it's been around since he was acquired.
I doubt they can improve our roster currently by trading him so no. If you can get a signed Perry, sure. If you can get a couple prospects or role players, no. The Heatley for Hossa type deal is what is needed to move him and those arent that easy, or I think it would have already been done.
I'd say yes and not because of any one game. Have to look down the road and I don't think he'll be around either way. How eager must this guy be to hit UFA and out of the conference (or whatever we're going to call them next year)? He obviously hates playing Boston and I wouldn't be surprised to see him eager to get as far away from them as possible.
I just don't want to take the chance on him walking off. But in the end it's all about what's out there. I'd rather keep him and see how things go than move him for nothing.
Let me guess for picks and prospects? Ya thats what a top 10 team wants to be doing right now.... Unless you can get a signed Perry, or another star player you dont even consider it. No Kessel in the line-up tonight, Kadri is shadowed by Chara and the team is shutout. No one wants to acknowledge the cascade of events but people sure do like to overreact
