Why has no one asked this question? It is unacceptable that Gardiner is in the AHL right now while Holzer and Kostka are bubbling around derp derp herpdiderpitydoo. Like come on. Bring it up atleast, maybe Carlyle forgot Gardiner even exists? Media needs to bring it up to him.
Our media is in love with Kostka. You should hear Sportsnet talk about Kostka and his cinderrela story

What's the excuse for Holzer?

New coach. The thing about winning is you can do no wrong, apparently.

Holzer has shown he's not ready for the NHL, send him down to the AHL to work on his game and bring up Gards this is getting kind of ridiculous. I get it's a numbers game but Holzer should be the one on the Marlies waiting for a spot to open up and not Jake. Gardiner has proven 10000x more than Holzer he belongs in the NHL.

Or waive Kostka, I'm sure a 6/7 defenceman finally breaking out at age 27 won't be a huge loss to us.

Does anyone worry what John Tavares' waiver eligibility is?
For the record, this is why I think he is not being called up. I think he should be.

It's stupid if it is though. He's shown he is too good for the AHL.

Get him up here and send Kostka down or trade him. We've seen enough of him. We need Holzer playing 3rd pairing minutes and Carlyle should try Gardiner with Phaneuf.

Carlyle not a fan of Jake Gardiner?

TSN Radio ‏@TSN1050Radio
Great stuff from @DarrenDreger says he doesn't think Randy Carlyle s the biggest fan of Jake Gardiner. Explains why he's not on the team

Anyone else catch this? Would explain a lot.

If true, it also makes sense why Liles would be in the press box as well.

I think it's completely ridiculous and Gardiner needs to be up ASAP, but hey, who am I to judge an NHL coach with a ring?

Yes Holzer getting caught up the ice on 2 separate goals is a much better option. If he doesn't like him then trade him. Somebody will really like him.

We need his ability to move the puck.

Waive kostka, seriously. Don't lose holzer just give him time he's a rookie. Holzer was doing great down in the AHL and eakins said he was more than ready, but once he's here a bunch of you don't think he's NHl material. Holzer is fine. Kostka doesn't bring anything special to the table.

I don't understand why he's not being called up. Gardiner>>>>>kostka

If Carlyle was a fan of Fowler, there is no way in hell he's not a fan of Gardiner.

Maybe we can trade him to Anaheim for a signed Perry.

Gardiner+Kessel for Perry+1st

But I'm sure Gardiner will be playing once one/both of Komisarek or Liles is traded.

I doubt Gardiner will get traded before he gets called up. He will be given a chance - deserves one. Unless its an offer we can't refuse Gardiner is going no where fast.
