I don't watch enough western conference games outside of L.A to know that. I always liked Bob though and hated seeing a goalie get paid that much for that many years. It isn't Bryz's fault though, the guy has zero confidence now because of the way the team is playing in front of him. They should seriously consider dumping him in the off-season and trading Briere to Boston if that is true. It would free up a ton of cap space to bring in a player like Perry and to try and get a goalie on this team that doesn't cost too much, but is a solid goalie. (I know that is a lot to ask)

I tried to make the point in the GDT that if you played Boosh for 20 games, his play would be comparable to Bryz and his save percentage would atleast be around .900, because that's what bad goalies put up. Everyone lost their **** and acted like I was some delusional Boucher fan.

Boucher's numbers since 09/10 up until this game= 80 games played, .904 save percentage

Good goalies post good stats. Bryz has been posting atrocious stats. All of these round about arguments are irrelevant

You are 100% right. The defenders would have you believe a worse goalie would post up an .800 or something.

We aren't getting what we are paying for

12 million combined for Briere and Bryz is close to 20% of the cap next season. That's a lot of dead space.

And yeah. I'm calling it dead space already. I've seen enough of Bryz. He has a little over one month of solid play in the last eight ****ing months. A backup on a hot streak can do that for 1/5 of the cap hit.

I'm no Bryz supporter. But Boucher's save % would probably be around an .880 if he was the starter.

I honestly hope Stolarz turns out to be the real deal. I'm getting sick of dealing with *****y goalies.

Nah, he's just done in Philly. He can get by in a different system as a mediocre starter. He just can't get by in this system in this town eating 5.67M of cap.

Bryzgalov finally fell to page 2 of NHL save % stats. He had a good streak going up in the top 30.

I think he take his 25 mill and goes back to Russia. Plus his 20 mill the last 2 years.

He's the only goalie in the league that has to deal with screens and bounces, though. Gotta keep that in mind.

Bryzgalov is also the only goalie I can think of who complains about playing too many games. It's that kind of winning attitude that got Brodeur those cups

I am not a Bryz supporter at all and have not been since day 1. That being said he is not the only reason the Flyers lost today. Today can be blamed on the entire team. However, it still would have been nice if Bryz could have made one big save. The elite, great goalies in the game do this a lot of times to help out their team.

One big save would've earned the team a point.

This. In the long haul of the season, there'd be no difference except the cap hit.

Hey I am a canucks fan but I always watch philly when it is on cause I like the way they play.

For your goalie problem would't it be great if you could unload Byrz to someone and then take one of our goalies along with a D-man like ballard. Give us some player we need.

We don't want Loluongo. We're done with overpaid headcase starters.
