I like this. Obviously I'd rather see Legwand or Fisher take a seat for one game, but I'll take the changes as are with no complaints. All I want is effort to find solutions. This is our first attempt with almost zero risk.
spaling shouldn't be sitting. just another case of babying the veterans.
And this is one of the reasons I can't stand Trotz. Let the young guys pay for the veterans mistakes/lack of production. Let's see, our PK is struggling but Spaling is one of the best out there yet he's going to sit? Smooth move.
I can't tell how excited I am to go to the next two games. I supposed to have hope because we brought somebody up and picked up to rejects off the waiver wire.

Better than nothing. Supposedly Butler was playing better than Henrique and we all saw what Henrique did during the playoffs last year for the Devils. We'll see.
Fine with everything but Spaling sitting. Hell, move him to wing and sit SK74. Spaling's play through the first half has been stellar on both sides of the ice.
I would definitely sit SK before i would take the top guys offense woes out on the lower line guys. Spaling has not been exactly getting it done either imo.. I have a feeling it won't be long before Clune and Yip are both getting scratched and replaced with the two newest guys.
No, it'll be 12 & 6. From the practice yesterday both Jim Diamond and John Glennon said that it looked like Spaling, Halischuk, and Blum would sit on Friday with Gill and Yip on IR.
We have two players that will put themselves in front of the net. And nobody wants to see Gaustad on the PP so we might as well get used to the premiter passing and shots to continue. Or put Horni out there every minute of PP time we get.
From what I read, it sounds like Boychuk may give us that. I forget which report I was reading but one of them said that during practice yesterday, Boychuk and Hornqvist were almost getting in each other's way in front of the net (They were on the same line)
SK should sit a game or two. Just doesn't seem to play with heart, won't shoot. I don't care if he is our only sniper, it doesn't matter if you are a sniper if you hardly ever shoot. PON!

Bourque has shown he has a knack for it. Outside of Hornqvist, Bourque would be my choice. I don't know why he isn't a lock for the 2nd pp unit when Hornqvist isn't out there

Somebody has to shoot and somebody else needs to be in front of the net to put in rebounds.
This of course after the first minute where the puck needs to be picked back up on the other end of the ice after a horrible pass or a defender clears it .
Just get Fisher off the powerplay...you're supposed to have an advantage 5 on 4 and he provides no advantage what so ever. I'd like to give Butler and Boychuk a shot on the man advantage.
