Detroit who has scored 20 more goals then Nashville took half a game to score 2 goals.

You might be waiting awhile

@GenePrincipe: "We know they are a good team and have a lot of skill. We'll have to be careful of their powerplay." Shea Weber on the Oilers

I love your positive Friday's approach.

Did you forget tonight is the 2nd of back-to-backs. What happened last night ahs nothing to do with tonight.

NSH simply can't score. It's not like they have a lot of fire power that is struggling either.

There is no fun here. Only pain, heartbreak, and liquor.

Great GDT Mowzie. Your sense of timing to lift the spirits of the fans on this board (at least me, anyways) is quite remarkable.
Thanks, I figured everyone could use a little kick in the face to forget about the kick in the junk. Maybe we can put this wall of text on roster and put it in net, can't see any pucks getting through it lol.

I feel a bit better knowing I give NO money whatsoever to Katz or the NHL.

I may be an Oiler fan, but I'm making sure they don't get any of my money until the Oilers give us a team that deserve it. Wish more people had voted with their wallets. Katz might then do something.

I'm going to watch whatever my wife wants to on tv tonight and not bother with the game. perhaps flip to see the score during commercials. I don't know of anything that makes me think this game will be any different than most of the last 15 games.

I'll just hope that Denis starts instead of dubnyk. Looks like DD has as much confidence right now as I have in the team as a whole. which is none.

Ha weber thinks we're good
Do you honestly believe Weber was saying what he truly feels?.

The honest thing to say would have been "I know we are a bad team, but thankfully we are playing a team that is worse than we are."

Can't really see that going over too well.

I wish players would just say "come on guys [media], we're playing the oilers tonight. Of course we have no game plan, we wanna get our plugs some ice time and pad our stats and chug some Bacardi during the intermissions. Pond hockey."

We will lose another frustrating game but Hemsky (if he plays) will score. If he doesn't play we'll get shutout again.

2-1 or 2-0

Sounds like a team I know except they are struggling but they are on a back to back so they will take another night off, book it.

Edmonton Oilers ‏@EdmontonOilers
#Oilers are holding an optional morning skate today in Nashville.

Thought we already had an optional skate last night vs Detroit

Giving Danis the start would be a good move. The Preds are the second worst team the Oilers are playing this trip. It's the second game of a back-to-back and Dubnyk has started five straight.

Unless the plan is to have Dubnyk start 44 games this year they need to give him a night off at some point.

Is Tambellini afraid Danis might actually play well and earn more starts?

Ales Hemsky will not play tonight. Potter out, Peckham in. Ryan Smyth plays center.

Just what we need a natural center like Smytty.

When your team can't win faceoffs what should you do...?

This organization needs a gigantic kick in the balls.

Rather, this organization is a gigantic kick in the balls to every fan.

Whatever. We watch, we'll be back for the home game. We won't boycott. We're afraid we'll just lose the team then.

----
On another note, doesn't Petrell (and Hartski) play centre? FFS.

The only thing more embarrassing than reading this board lately (for the most part), is watching our team try to play competitive hockey.

Sigh...

this team needs a facelift. Players that need to be gone:

Ales Hemsky ..... Corey Perry
Eric Belanger ..... David Steckel
Ryan Smyth ...... Matt Cooke
Corey Potter ...... Oscar Klefbom
Ryan Whitney ...... Taylor Fedun
Nikolai Khabibulin ..... Chad Johnson
Ben Eager ...... Colton Orr

Maybe:
Theo Peckham ..... Colton Tuebert
Mike Brown..... George Laraque
