Weber can't be traded this season. Toronto and Nashville are not good trading partners. This has been rehashed for quite some time now. Deal is not good for Nashville either. Giving up their best two players is not the smartest move to make.
How many times does it need to be said in a million different threads, Weber CANNOT be traded for a year! Even if he could, no chance in h-e-double hockey sticks that Nashville does that for Weber, let alone adding Wilson?
Even if he could be traded, and they were willing to trade him to Toronto, you're looking at Reilley + Gardiner + Kessel(resigned)/Kadri + at least 1 first rounder, in all likelihood, and that may still not get you Weber alone. He is the face of their franchise.
The kicker is that the OP didn't even include the 1st in the strong (2013) draft, but the much weaker 2014 one, where it would also be a low one with Weber on the Leafs.
7 pieces of that value more specifically, these aren't spare parts being moved. Kessel, Gardiner, a 1st, Weber, Wilson, and Grabovski all in the same deal? All of those pieces have more value than anything in the above deal except for Phaneuf.
