Mine is like $30ish a month iirc.
No, I'm at a local place that has ~10 locations in the general area. As my other post said, locked into a deal when they opened up 2 or so years ago and just got lucky. That, and we have gyms everywhere down here. Back in Chicago gyms are much harder to find, believe it or not, and you won't find anything under $25/month up there.

It's awesome. One service size has 35 grams of protein, 70 carbs, 23 grams of amino acids; fortified with 5 grams of added BCAAs.

Monohydrate GNC. Which sucks because that **** doesn't dissolve well.

Any reason why you chose that product? You seem like a smart guy... but the reviews for that seem meh at best, not to mention anything from GNC is extremely overpriced when buying directly from them.

I just recently started taking creatine myself, well for the first time in years anyway... I picked up Cellucor C4, and love it so much I bought another watch well before I came close to finishing the first batch I bought.

The reviews for it aren't bad and it's super cheap. Like super cheap.

I'll take it for another month, if I see nothing then I'll probably stop. Maybe my body is immune to it, no need to trash my liver/kidneys.

Must have read the serving size wrong the first time... Just saw at 2nd glance that it's like $25 for 200 servings. The C4 I buy is about $30 for 60 servings, and I do about a serving and a half per session.

Yeah I bought a $5 one which has 50 servings. And they had the "buy one get 2nd one 50% off" promo, so I basically paid $7.50 for 100 servings. Can't beat that. Wish it was micronized though. This non-dissolvable **** is hard to drink.

Ah, gotcha. For only a few bucks like that, it's almost a must buy just to try once or twice even if it ends up being garbage.

The liver/kidney thing is just a bad rep, multiple studies have shown creatine use has no long term effects on your internal organs. Keep your dosage to 5g (usually 1 teaspoon) and you'll be fine and get what you need from it.

Your body has its own supplies of creatine anyways. If you're not noticing too much with the creatine you're on, what I would do is switch it up and put it in your post workout shake to replenish the lost creatine sources you depleted during your lifting session.

Ah, well then carry on.

Buy some micronized next time so you don't have to taste anything

$10? $30? for memberships?

Try $100/month here. And the restrictions they put on you to cancel etc and payment terms are ridiculous.

Ugh. I'm just getting back into working out after a bit of a hiatus and I think I might have overdone it on my chest today. I don't have any soreness in my pecs, but my sternum is painfully tender. Not sure whether to chalk this up to a healthy burn or an overexertion.

Do you usually touch the bar to your chest on bench? You might have been coming down a little too fast and bouncing a little. Or could be something different, who knows.

Also curious to where "here" is. The most you can pay in a memebership near Atlanta, for your average gym, is about $75/month for a beefed up package at Lifetime. There are a few others than range in the hundreds per month, but those are more of country clubs than gyms.

Yea $13/month at 24 is ridiculous. I used to be a member at a 24 in NJ, I was paying something like $48 a month...and that was with a family discount because me and my brother were both members there lol.

Now I'm at a small gym closer to NYC (Jersey City, NJ) and I pay $78/month. Steep price, but I don't complain much because the place is always empty no matter what time I go. At most there's like 10-12 other people there.

My membership works out to be about $63 a month can't believe you guys get it for that little. Its not open 24 hours either its 8am-10pm monday-thursday 8am-8pm fridays and 10am-4pm weekends.

So i've never taken creatine before, is it worth taking?

Currently I just take protein/multivitamins/fishoils/PWO (sometimes)

There aren't any downsides in taking creatine, so you might as well try it and see it if you like the effects. Keep in mind it takes a month to see the effects unless you're loading which should make you feel the effects after 2 weeks, I believe.

Downside to creatine:

You put on water weight like crazy. The stuff I took made me gain 15 pounds, once I stopped I shed it all. I just felt bloated as **** on it.

I read that the bloating feeling is a myth. When I was taking it a year ago, I felt the same way but this time around, nothing.

Really depends on how much creatine you're actually taking in. Like 15-20g/day can usually take you to the point of noticeable water retention.

Keep it moderate and drink a lot of water and it'll minimize that type of thing.
