hahah yea I noticed Chico forgot Paul MacLean's last name. Also, Chico probably mentioned at least 7 different occasions that Ottawa is going to be a low scoring team this year.

I met Chico in Nassau Coliseum the other day. He's hilarious. He told me and a friend about how he was a huge Hawks fan growing up because they had "a goalie named Glenn." My friend told him it was Glenn Hall and Chico was like "Yeah that's it"

Even in passing he's fun to run into. I was standing behind my section (lower bowl, a few sections off from the fire lounge where he's calling the game) for some reason, likely right after the period ended. Chico was walking by on his way somewhere and my friend just called out to him to say hi. Chico gave a pretty enthusiastic/animated greeting as if they were long time friends. It was hilarious to watch.

Chico is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. We used to frequent the same establishment, and sometimes he would invite himself over to mine, and my buddy's table.

He's very blunt in real life too. I can only imagine what he'd say about Tallinder if I had ran into him tonight.

As much as we mock him and get driven crazy by his on-air idiosyncrascies, it's going to be a sad day when he does leave.

^ This.

Devils broadcasts will never be the same when Chico calls it a career.

I mean....he's the last link to an era of the Great Announcing-Tandem of Doc and him.

Now that Doc is gone, Chico will inevitably be next.

My favorite Chico moment probably isn't YouTubed unfortunately (though for some reason I remember it was a game against the Flyers). I've posted this one before, about how he was rambling on for two minutes about how it was weird Madden wasn't on the PK and wondering aloud whether something was wrong. Right after Chico said something like 'I don't know what the problem is', Doc finally corrects him:

Doc: 'The problem will be relieved as Madden comes out of the box now'
Chico: 'Haha oh yeah'

That's hilarious.

One of my favorite moments, I think Kovy scored a breakaway against the Rangers and after the goal call, Chico just goes "WAHHHH"

It was Adam Henrique's overtime winner against Winnipeg last year.

Chico also calls him Larsson. ''Adam Larsson with his second breakaway''

Haha the Janssen goal game. Man I remember that game and other than Cam scoring that game sucked. Might have been the only goal of the game.

How about last week when we were playing the Jets. It was the game in Winnipeg. Chico was talking about Pavelec and Hedberg. Then he talked about how Kari Lehtonen, and Pavelec came up together and Moose shared a tandem with both. Only he called Kari Lehtonen ''Jere Lehtinen'' as in the former winger for the Stars. After that when Pavelec made a save, Steve said ''Save by Lehtonen!''

His Oh **** last night was great as well, was a center ice thing though so not everyone heard it.

Is it just me or have you guys noticed that Chico has been calling the shootout a "skills competition" much more this season than compared to past years?
