Well Tambellini is running the show ,tell me one thing smart he has done . Tanking any idiot could do that . Last week he was seen at a Caps game , fans were thinking he looking to make a trade no he is scouting for team Canada while the Oilers pays him . He is a Fracking joke

Eberle isn't going anywhere, loss a few games and some fans are willing to trade anything for a player they don't really need.
It not losing a few games . The team seems lost with no drive . It not the kids fault the have no support , but we may need to trade one to get a more balance team . And yes we do need defence . Up and comes are nice but the do not beat a proven #1 d man

Is McDonaugh possible?

Would he have been but for the Staal injury? Maybe in the summer?

Eberle has way more value then Yakupov I would think. I hate the Oilers but he is a stud.

I mentioned Simmonds+ for Yakupov in a previous thread and an Oilers fan went for it.
Any interest there?

I'd trade Eberle over Yakupov in a heartbeat. Yakupov is behind RNH in terms of "untouchables" on my list. Firmly believe he will be the best, or at least 2nd best of the kids.

Obviously not exactly even, but value wise going either way, thats what it would take.

I would certainly trade Yakupov for Carlson. Although I doubt Washington would be interested unless they somehow draft Jones.
I would think Eberle >> MDZ

Canucks fans are overreacting to a few bad games, he's got 12 points this year while playing 26 mins + a night with a ton of PK time. His contract is a bargain

I did not read the whole thread, but what the oilers need is someone with cojones to lead the youngins. Right now you got skills but no leadership. I can sell you on rangers players as a rangers fan, but go overpay for Iggy, he will show your kids the way. Get some grit and character on that team.

It was Simmonds, 1 first and something else, correct? I'd do it. Simmonds is exactly what we are lacking in the top six.

Its their fault that they put in the same sad sack effort as everyone else.

I'm ok with moving Larson for Yakupov. Of corse this will never happen.
The thought of Yakupov Loktionov Kolvochuck line makes me ok with that.

Yak for Hedman.

Tampa already has a excellent and expensive defense and good prospects coming, and St Louis is getting older. His salary goes higher than the cap hit in 2 years, and Tampa is not a rich marketplace.
The Oilers need a top pair defense man to go with Schulz just as much as they need a decent Center with size. Their annual death spiral will net them a very good center prospect at the draft that can fill in that position.

I would prefer the Oilers give up someone else, but there is just way to much of one type of player on this team, and other positions have to be filled if this team actually wants to get better.
