Have to say, last night was probably the most Penguins fans I've seen in town. Probably because it was a weekday that people bailed on, but still...I was still surprised and Penguins fans have always made their presence known around here.

Were you at the game? The place did seem oddly quiet even when the Flyers were romping, maybe that explains it.

Am I the only one who is enjoying the irony of the tanking talk by Flyer fans as well?

Honestly that is the drawback with generalizing about teams and fan bases. Inevitably you eventually get it thrown back at you when similar happens on your team. We are just having a bit of fun back at them. No one really holds it against Giroux.

I remember not that long ago when it seemed at the civic arena that flyer fans would fill a third of the arena when they came to town. Has not been that way for years now. Crosby certainly made the two franchises closer in terms of fans filling arenas.

Being a fan of a team isn't about being even-handed, reasonable, or rationale.

It's about MAKING FUN OF CLAUDE GIROUX FOR CRYING

I got the impression that since the Flyers have been blowing leads much in the same way that the Pens have, the fans were just tentative about getting into it, even up 3.

We all know that feeling, especially when your team is struggling.

I don't know how poking fun at the irony of Chode Giroux crying has turned into such a serious discussion. People just need to lighten up.

Not to rip on Fleury, but there's no shot that Fleury slots number 2 on Team Canada. Price, Luongo, Ward (I personally think he's overrated), and possibly the dinosaur known as Brodeur will be in contention. At best, and barring injuries, he'll slot as the number 3 and never see the ice during the
games.

Not sure who these "experts" are that have slotted him as the backup already.

I think part of the Giroux thing is the way that fanbase tries to project itself and the team, just this goofy, chest thumping alpha male type nonsense.

"We'd never tolerate a player whining or diving! Raaargh!"

The irony is, based on the players on their team, the fans tolerate a captain that cries after a loss, a player that takes shirtless selfies like some teenager, a player that DOES dive all over the ice, and a player that films himself having "relations"with underage girls and shows it off to his friends.

2 is Rinaldo and 4 is Harry Zolneircyk....idk if that's the right spelling but he's playing for the phantoms so its not worth researching.

Once I realized it, I´m watching him closely. He´s doing it every night on a consistent bases. He´s clear no.1 in hateability on my list.

On February 14, 2007, Zolnierczyk was arrested and interviewed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for his role in the production and distribution of a pornographic video involving an underage girl. While Zolnierczyk's then Alberni Valley Bulldogs teammate Brad Harding engaged in consensual sex with the underage girl at the home of Harding's billet family in November 2006, Harding's computer webcam transmitted the images to Zolnierczyk who saved and distributed the video to teammates. After showing the video to friends of the victim, RCMP was alerted and with Harding already being interviewed by police, Zolnierczyk was arrested. After pleading guilty to two counts of electronic voyeurism, Zolnierczyk was sentenced to a three-year conditional discharge on June 6, 2008. Following the completion of his three-year sentence, Zolnierczyk was left with no permanent criminal record.

On a more serious note can't blame Voracek for breaking his stick, I'd be mad too if I was the only one putting in an effort nightly on a team.

Pretty much this. If he played for any other team except maybe the Caps I wouldn't even comment on it. As far as non-registered sex offender Zolnierczyk...gross.

I can't stop watching that Gustafsson scream video. What on earth...?
