The Rags lost in regulation... 0 point night for them. Not sure how you could get that wrong?

Now that Chicago's streak is most likely going to end (5-2 in the 3rd period) and the Flyers record is gonna remain unbeaten for now, I can happily say that Chicago's streak was extremely good for the hockey world.

Coming out of the lockout, the Hawks made hockey relevant. They were front story on ESPN almost every night they played. The debate about the Heat vs the Hawks was cool. Honestly, it was just all around awesome for the game.

With that being said. Thank GOD it's over...30 games was way too close

Imagine if they team that stopped the streak were the Stars. Because they Minnesota North Stars were the ones who stopped the Flyers streak.

Yeah, this week was the first time I rooted for the Avalanche in watching the game in about 7 or 8 years.

Blackhawks coming too close to joining our consolation clubs, between this and when they almost came back down 3-0 vs. Vancouver

The score of that game was 7-1. The Flyers were drained, actually led 1-0, but the last game of a 6-game road trip and three games in four nights caught up to them. It was only 3-1 past the midway point and the Flyers scored to make it 3-2, but the goal was blown away by the cheery Bob Myers who then called a penalty on the Flyers. The momentum changed at that point and the North Stars almost immediately scored.

Minnesota was also an awesome home home, one loss in about 20 games at that point and their crowd could be electric when the opponent was a top team or rival.

The teams met later in the playoffs and Bill Barber had one of the best series ever, both offensively and defensively, he was phenomenal. That series was among the most lopsided as I recall in terms of penalties, 40-15 (or something similar), in favor of the North Stars, it seemed the Flyers were always on the kill. One of the North Stars' players said it was the best defensive show he'd had ever seen.

Watching this St. Louis/San Jose game on NHL Network. I have to say I've been more impressed with Shattenkirk than Pietrangelo so far in this game.

Looking through the Blues board that seems to have been the case all season. Personally I've seen too few games with the Blues to have an opinion on that matter.

But knowing the Blues, they will re-sign both of them.

I watched a lot of their playoff games last year. I really like Pietrangelo a lot. I thought he was going to be a favorite to win the Norris this year but it looks like Shattenkirk has a better chance now.

Shattenkirk is better offensively I think. But Pietrangelo might be the best all around young d-man in the league.

JVR absolutely nailed Malkin, I think Malkin might be out the next game.

JVR has been fantastic!! He has rarely gone invisible with us so far.

Washington doesn't look like a team contending for a top 5 pick anymore. Good news for us I guess.

Another horrible play by Ovie in the neutral zone that leads to a goal.

He whiffed on a check and completely gave up on the play.

Of the teams that aren't the flyers, the Rangers, Anaheim, and Montreal are the most exciting teams to watch so far
