How has Gavrus looked? (I'm really hoping I'm on the right thread. Apologies if I'm not)

Gavrus got a hat trick last night against Erie and 2 goals a couple of games ago against Mississauga. His first for the season. I think he's finally flipped the switch.

Awesome, really glad to hear it. We all knew he has a ton of talent, and was hearing despite not putting up points when he began playing for the Owen Sound Attack he was still impressing.
Guess it was a matter of adjusting and getting some puck luck finally?

there was a few factors for this weekend's outcome, all the lines were revamped, OS was playing a defense core that was absolutely dormant, and some newer arrivals or young players were stepping up. It was just a matter of time before Gavrus flipped the switch as he's already proven, but I've been most impressed with the rookies over this weekend, and very very please with Nasty. He elevated is play lately and as become someone to recon with... Just in time for the playoffs.

3RD place is now locked up and the final 2 games vs the Sting will determine if the dance partner will be the Sting or Joe Monette's favorite town the Sault.
I prefer the Sting they have the better Casino.

ya, and if you read this article it say's the coach is probably gonna rest some players. Maybe Ireland wants to play Sarnia instead of SSM. I hope not, they should play to win all the time... even though I think SSM would be a tougher series to win.

Ceci and Binnington get the night off and the Attack gut out a 4-3 win.

Looks like it will be the Sault, their last 2 games are London and Kitchener who both have nothing left to play for.

It would be nice if Maiden would join the playoffs... no word on him lately. in this case, no news is probably bad news.

How has MacDermid been this season? Curious about him ever since LA signed him.

So, not much upside to being a steady stay at home damn with grit? Do you think he's more than ahl fodder?

He needs a lot of work, has some serious size but no mobility or skill.

Thanks, makes me wonder what LA saw in him to offer him a contract last offseason. Sounds like his ceiling is low with maybe an echl top. Thanks again.

I wonder if Brace is going to get suspended? Forget the other player's name but he went to the hospital for Xrays suspecting a concussion.

on another note...
this article says, quote " Now there is an interesting stat regarding the Attack and overtime games in the OHL playoffs, but we’re not going to tell you what it is…we’re superstitious in this regard. "

anyone know what that is? I'm thinking Bennington as never been scored on, but I really don't know.

That was a pretty big hit that Brace delivered but only got 2 minutes out of it. Could they possibly review it and change their minds? The way he came out hitting he's only looking for trouble. Play a clean game and do their best. Now's not the time to be taking cheap penalties and suspensions. I wasn't impressed with the Attack's play the first period. The Soo came out like gang busters and dominated! They want it BAD!!! I also wasn't impressed with the low attendance. Must be close or the worst attendance of the whole season. Come on people! Show your support!!! Those boys feed off a loud crowd and it shows!!!

I can't figure that one out really!! practically full arena all season (avg. over 3,000 for the season), but alot of empty seats in the first playoff game.

I had to buy a wolves ticket early this week for next week's game (27th.... OS not playing that night ) because if yo don't, they're gone... and that team is not even as good as OS!

4-2 tonight for a 2-0 series lead.
Steal one in Joe Monette;s favourite town and were on our way.

Good to see the OHL keeping their annual tradition of screwing the Attack on suspensions.

I am betting McCann has a miracle comeback and plays Monday or Wednesday.

I heard McCann broke his wrist before Brace even hit him. That's why he was bent over with his head down. Brace got screwed!!!

OR maybe the kid is injured significantly? I thought it is Windsor that gets screwed annually by the OHL?!?!

Hound fan here, coming in peace and just want to say Gemel and the Attack got royally screwed on that disalowed goal... Should be going to OT right now.

Game 4 will be a dandy!
