Not gonna fret too much about this loss, they've outplayed a great team for the third night in a row.

I think I hate .500 hockey more than anything. Its been one step forwards two steps back for this team

Wonder what thread flameaholic will create on the main board. Don't mind a loss like this. Effort level has been there. See how things go tomorrow night.

On another note: I've been watching on the Fox Ducks boradcast: and their commentators are very good. Definitely one of the better Fox play by play announcers I've heard.

Yeah, they're not gonna win every game and it's not like they were lazy or anything. They just couldn't beat a hot goalie.

If they score 1 more, then both the Heat and Flames go down 5-0 tonight.

Heat have been pathetic. Been very underwhelmed with Ward, seems very.. Sutterish.

There's no money in Alberta to buy goals

They out shot the Americans tonight 44 - 26. Irving let in 2 on 4 shots and Taylor let in the other 3. I think Irving is the 3rd string again and not seeing much ice time during practice (just like last time). When Taylor was up here Irving was playing great down there (even being better than Brust the past few games).

Even Kerr was being sloppy towards the end:

Iginla instead of Stajan on the penalty pushed in the net.

Getzlaf on the Flames team was funny

and the Ducks on the powerplay yet they weren't.

He is such a character.

you clearly didn't watch the Heat game or highlights. Irving was screened badly on the 1st goal and on the 2nd goal no goaltender could have stopped it. Please don't talk about something when you have no clue.

It gets better next year when the Ducks draw in to the same division as the Flames.

I was gonna create a "Do you believe in curses?" thread, but I don't care anymore. 22 games is a good enough sample size, this is a .500 hockey club!

Yeah, this is kind of what I felt was going to happen and what I've been saying all along. This team isn't built to deal with top contenders this year; If the minds that run Calgary had any insight they'd move some pieces so that next year they could put together a better product.
The West is too deep to play around .500... Oh well.

Yeah if you guys could find maybe a real good playmaker you guys would score more goals, score didn't do the flames justice i thought the d just had a couple miscues which made a difference

Tough loss to swallow, first half of the game was textbook road game, especially Comeau and Cervenka looked excellent. Painful that we couldn't see one go in or we could have had a whole different game. Ducks got the good Fasth tending last night. Up to the boys to bounce back in heavy fashion against a really tough team. If they can't then that's the season over right there.
