The Flyers are just not a tenacious team. Their lazy getting back. The Bruins chase everybody down from behind in the neutral zone. The Flyers just kind of assume the D has it covered - which they clearly do not. When the Hurricanes won the cup with that average defense they won because the forwards were committed to getting back, they blocked shots and Cam Ward played great. The Flyers don't get back, they do block shots and the goalie has been average.

Couturier should be sent down to the AHL to help him find his game again

Couturier has been extremely weak on the puck all game. Loses every battle, makes soft blind passes...

Surprise Mez didn't get a penalty there. Guess the refs are showing us some sympathy.

These boston announcers are pathetic. Up 3-0 and still whining about not getting penalties.

Why couldn't the Flyers play like this period, last period?

Blind pass instead of making the easy play.

100% agree - that or trade him. He really sucks this season. His head is completely up his ass.

Jesus this passing is laughable.

And maybe Hartnell can worry about getting back in the play instead of slamming his stick

trade him? thats a stupid idea

This team should not trade Couturier. I dont care if he's having a bad season now, the guy has a lot of potential and will probably be the best player coming out of that entire draft. We got lucky he caught mono and dropped to us

Fortunately, Giroux doesn't have a Pronger type personality to contend with and, obviously, you're a lot happier winning rather than losing. But still one wonders if there's something more basically wrong with the way the organization's run ?????? In any normal job, you're not going to be successful if you continually ***** out the workplace so if losing is their issue, then start winning or find another place to play.
I really miss the pronger post games interviews and also I think that with this young nucleus, pronger would have the whole team on the same page it there. not a lot got past him and he loved to call players out for sloppy play, even in a win. this team needs a Guy like that on the ice. all we have is team of quiet leaders which in the end, is not really a leader at all. you need to be vocal, you need to give directio, give praise as well as advice. leading by example is good for a great number 2 Guy. that's the Guy the captain can point at and say you need to be more like him.

I wouldn't give up on Coots yet. He needs to go down to develop. As someone else said a few pages back, keeping him up while he's making bad decisions is just killing his confidence.

ok it's the first half decent day of the year - do I sit here and watch this bad team?

So many good players and such garbage play. I'm done for the day at least
