Ok your right every time some one pushes Perron Stewat should take a penalty, that is a great strategy for the Blues...

He's a self-hating Blues fan. Just read his posts on the main board.

Just look at what happened earlier in this game Marleau hit Backes and Backes did not do anyhting stupid he waited until he got a chance to hit Marleau back legally. Stewart could have waited a shift and done something while he was on the ice.
The refs weren't calling anything on Clowe until Stewart got involved. Stew stood up for his teammates at the cost of some 4 on 4. Not a problem to me.

Good job, Stew.

Argh let's get the period over so we can re-group, seems like we're living in our zone now.

There's the effort we know from Oshie.

Nice play by Oshie to keep possession and produce a shot on goal on that rush.

Or Stew could send a message right then and there at no cost to the team. Either way.

The problem is Petro has been pretty damn poor at receiving pucks all year. For a guy who has typically had excellent skills in that area, it seems more than a fluke.

As for the assumption and logic behind the "if you had played" comment...

Thats because Clowe had not done anything illegal. Clowe for Stewart is a really bad trade off for the Blues if the sharks now they can easily get stewart in the box they (and every other team) are going to take advantage of it

I use to play hockey in high school and any puck that got that close to me I had good enough coordination to get it with my stick or at least deflect the puck out of danger. U mad?

I'm guessing you haven't played a physical sport before? You have to set a tone right when it happens. That was a good penalty because we were up and the refs will just about always cancel that penalty out, just like they did giving Clowe a penalty. Clowe wouldn't have gotten a penalty if Stewart did nothing.

I'm really ****ing pissed. FSM is showing College Basketball instead of the Blues game. The menu says it should be the Blues game, but it's not. I figured after the Creighton-ISU game was over they'd switch to hockey. Nope! Another college basketball game that nobody gives a single **** about. This is ****ing ridiculous. I refuse to watch the game on a ******, grainy stream where you can't even tell where the **** the puck is the entire game. They'll probably do the same thing tomorrow.

Petro has been much better lately defensively. He has a lot more composure to his game and isn't forcing things. As some of us talked about during one of the off-days this week, we need Petro retrieving pucks and starting the breakout...not taking low risk plays while trying to force the rare neutral zone turnover.

His puck skills and elite stick brought the Blues out of their own zone with ease at least three times that period.

All in all, good period. Though it would be nice to extend one of these early period leads. Despite scoring the first goal every game on the road trip they've also given up the next goal. Be nice to extend a lead.

There seriously needs to be an age minimum to join this forum, or at least a maturity test of some sort.
