Habs #5 Prospect by the Fans

With a 50 vote lead I'm gonna call Kyle Chipchura the runaway winner of Poll #4.

Its a long way from the start of the season, so lets to a poll of the top 20 Montreal prospects. Each poll will be open for 2 days, but i may start the next one sooner if there is a clear cut winner of one poll.

Murray has 56 games under his belt, so by HF he's still a prospect, but I personally don't consider him one.

Danis at 25 and Cote at 24 are becoming too old to be considered prospects.

Next adds will be Heino-Lindberg, Valentenko, Cepek, Gleed, J.T. Wyman, Duncan Milroy. Order is not a big issue because i doubt these guys will be beating out anyone in our top tier of prospects ie Fischer, Grabo, O'Byrne and Emelin those guys we talk about a lot. I will add them as we go, unless there is someone else people want to see added?? Or is there someone you will be ready to vote for soon and want moved up to the front of that list.

1.) Andrei Kostitsyn
2.) Carey Price
3.) Guillaume Latendresse
4.) Kyle Chipchura

I'm going off the board here and taking O'Byrne.

Imo, it's pretty close between a few different guys, but I will go with David Fischer.

The top group of 4 could be put in just about any order and not get Tootoo much complaint from me. Same can now be said for the next group of 10. I voted Emelin on a dare, but 10 minutes from now I'd change that vote. Give me more than a couple haphazard viewings of Grabovsky and maybe I'd vote for him. I don't know if this means we have excellent prospect depth, or if it means we have a bunch of fairly nondescript generic prospects, though.

To me it's clearly Lapierre because I see him as the next one to make the team.

I think the next 2 are still in the top group imo.

Grabovski, clearly.

For me it's either Grabo, Emelin or Fischer the next 3. I went with Emelin for no real clear reason over the others, I like his toughness, he has a lot of offensive upside, I think he's a damn good pick. But Grabs is definitely close.

Emelin for his all-around solid game and his nastiness.

don't forget all the stupid penalties that this guy takes but if he can learn to pick his spots and be more disciplined i think he could have a great career in the nhl if not he is a career minor leaguer

i have a hard time not seeing Fisher win this, he probably has the 2nd higherst ceiling for a D in the hole draft after Johnson
