Darche said he would take Desharnais/Gallagher over a guy like Andrei Kostitsyn any day of the week.

Cannot disagree

He does everything. His presence gives his linemates space, he works harder than anyone with the exception possibly of Subban or Gallagher.

He contributes offensively and defensively and for a tough guy plays really smart and is almost never in the box.

The Bolts defensive play was painful to watch for me. They just kept turning it over.

No Bourque - we win
No Diaz - we win

No Prust- fill in the rest. (Let me see if you learned anything.

At 3-1 I could'nt possibly read any posts because it would have been the usual titanic is sinking posts. I just simply opened a beer and moved to my lucky chair, from there it was just win win win.

Playing tough minutes, 8 goals (26 goal pace on an 82-game season). He is not useless in Therrien's system.

This explains it.

You dont even see the good that Gionta does because you are too busy looking for the bad.

While you were offline, Gionta single handedly kept the puck, despite fighting off different Lighting players and then found a wide open Emelin with a sweet pass.

Maybe you should stop watching. We enjoy Gionta's production.

Gionta will be considered useless no matter what because in Habs land cap hit comes first, size second. The former + the latter means any of Gionta's contributions will be overlooked.

Goal! Darren Dietz buries on the rush! His 23rd of the year as it's now down to a 7-6 lead for Regina! #herewecome #BleedBlue

23 goals? ****ing impressive for a defenseman.

Subban's max in juniors was 15.

+13, more goals than Galchenyuk and Eller.

Prust is a utility player in the best way. He's basically the reason such a term was existed. He does a little bit of everything and fills whatever hole the team has, without excelling at one thing (compared to someone like Desharnais or Ryder with a clearly defined role)

He's an asset that makes things happen, but he's clearly not here to singlehandedly win games.

On an unrelated note I freaking hate the schedule.
So tired of those games in hands for Boston.
It's not decreasing.
Tomorrow we'll have played 4 more games.

WTF

Well he definitely should get one on the first since he is the one that took the puck off the defender before Markov grabbed it and fed it to Pleks.

Unless Ryder's stick never actually touched the pick and just took out the stick?

at least he's gone at the end of the year, and we cleared some cap space. hope we get another player in the mold of bourque, pacioretty, gallagher.

I don't think Ryder touched the puck. Lee gave it away.

The Habs playing great hockey this year is rather sweet but what's even sweeter is that it irritates Leafs and Bruins fans so very much watching the Habs win.
