With the new roster update in NHL, EA Sports has bumped Kadri to an 80 overall.

He's been PPG for 25 games playing on the "3rd line". 80's fair.

Perry for Kadri is a deal I dont do for the following reasons:

1. Perry isnt as good as he is made out to be. Yes he won the Rocket and Hart 2 years ago, but it doesnt mean he is at that level any more (hes not). To me Corey Perry (in a full season) is a 75 - 78 pt guy, who can hit, but isnt the best skater and takes a lot of penalties.

2. What is Corey Perry like when he is flanking Grabovski / Bozak instead of Getzlaf. Again, we dont know. Corey Perry plays his best hockey with Ryan Getzlaf.

3. Salary. If Getzlaf gets 8+ million, Perry will want at least that as well, because in the previous 2 seasons, he was the better statistical player, plus he has the hardware.

4. Position. We have wingers with size and skill. We dont have a center with size. Trading skill at center for size on the wing isn't adressing a need

5. Style. Kadri is a type of guy that draws people's butts into seats. Not that its an issue in Toronto, but man is he fun to watch

Kadri 100% deflected the Fraser shot from the point that immediately led to the Kessel goal. On the nhl site it's hard to see it but watching the game on cbc they showed an angle where you could clearly see Kadri tip the puck and it deflected to Kessel. The nhl rulebook states: an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. So I would expect that scoring play will rightfully change and Kadri will be back to ppg.
If you watch the play you can clearly see that Kadri tries to tip and fails and then the puck zips to Kessel. Still a point according to the rulebooks and I would hope that the nhl is 100% accurate on obvious plays; although they missed the kadri assist on Gardiner's first goal.

I really hope that's true, I'll check it
I remember same thing happened to him on Gardiner goal

Just saw it, that deflected for sure, Fraser shot it, and deflects, and bounces as kessel gets it
Kadri should have an assist
This one should be noticeable, and should be changed
That Gardiner goal, is easy to miss
This one is not

Guy plays hard and deserves some points like that. I remember last year he lost an assist in the ahl after almost one week in review. I couldn't believe it; especially after the obvious tip on Gardiner's first goal where he was never credited. I hope the nhl actually takes a good look at this and gives a lucky assist to a star in the making. Love watching Kadri play this year and he's thriving on being an impact player.

I wrote the nhl about the gardiner goal and I'll write them again about this one. Hopefully it makes a difference. Keep in mind that he's still walking a fine line and the only way he keeps seeing minutes and shutting up *******s is to produce on the scoreboard.

I could have sworn Kadri touched the puck on the Kessel goal. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully they do change that.

Regardless, Kadri had a great game and was +2, despite not being on the scoresheet. His line created all night and he played very physical, despite playing against Branden Sutter, one of the best Shutdown C's in the NHL.

Plz do, would love it
I love this kid
Games like these I think is what will make him a star. Doesn't create alot of chances, but was physical, and great defensively.

I loved his physical play, especially the fact that he tried to hit cooke

Really hope they credit kadri with the assist, I want to see his streak carry on.

I think people are still going to say well it is only 26 games, then it will be it's only 35 games, 48 games.

He's getting better with each game, even without points, he didn't look out of place when he was up against Crosby, and earlier in the year Malkin. You can see he was jacked to play against the best. This is the part I love about Naz, his compete level. His + - stats are becoming silly, and for the crap corsi fans, his rel corsi is impressive also. And you are right, Brandon Sutter was on him yet it was his drive to the net that aided Mac's goal, and Kessel's too. He's been everything we expected in him and more this year.
