How do you expect him to mature? Play him against the toughest of the league and he'll realize how different opponents can be.

Hence the internal debate mentioned.........

On one hand, I don't want his confidence completely obliterated, on the other.....I want him to learn......

Let's all be mad at Hecht even though we are dressing Scott for a Philly team that doesn't have an enforcer nor anyone willing to drop the gloves with Scott. Someone make that joke again about how logical RR is.

Simmonds isn't an enforcer but is always up for a fight when its needed. I could see Scott and him dropping the gloves.

Scott vs. Simmonds would never happen. Scott has six inches and 87 pounds on him.

If they win tonight, they'll have 10 out of the last 14 possible points. 117 point pace. Keep that up over the 22 games after, that's 54 points at the end of the year.

Rinaldo is always up to no good, I'd rather have Scott there just in case.

Sabres lose 1-0

Leclair scores through the side of the net!

Plus there is no reason for having Scott on the ice against the Briere-Schenn-Simmonds line

To be quite honest, I hate having Scott in the lineup..it's basically forfeiting a player, he can only play 3-4 minutes of sheltered playing time. He's not even that great of a fighter for his size. There's just no need to dress a player like him in today's NHL unless you are expecting things to get out of hand.

If Ruff scratching him like 4 games in a row and then playing him for 5 minutes with skill-free 4th liners didn't wreck his confidence, I don't think actually getting into a game and realizing he's physically overmatched would. It'd give him a solid idea of what he needs to work on and how much he has to improve to be a good player in the league. We aren't going anywhere this season; let him get some growing pains out of the way.

How many regulation wins would they be on pace for over 82 games? Like, 5-6?

Flyers are a scummy team.....Hecht shouldn't be in though. For Grig that's just dumb. Little cry baby Hecht is

For sure, Prust plays 14 minutes per game though and contributes in a lot of ways. Scott does not.

wins have been against an awful Panthers team, a bad Lightning team, and a struggling Devils team who was playing awful, oh and a back up was in for all of those games. Even the Rangers were struggling. We have yet (off the top of my head) beat a good team in the east besides the Bruins.

I think this will be a high scoring game, both teams defense will falter.

Buffalo will lose 90-1. Miller scores on own net 80 times. Scott scores with 5 seconds left in 3rd.

And this is why I'm listening to the game on WGR radio. Can't stand NBC's commentators.

Yeah I was being mostly sarcastic. Since the infamous Boston Beatdown he has been largely MIA. Now that you mention it I do recall seeing the two shiners though.

Yeah, dumb move IMO. Not a big deal, but not the one I would make.

Kid is 18, has a truckload of talent, good attitude, and NHL sized body (even if he doesnt use it well yet) and has been progressing albeit very slowly. He sure is not holding this team back from being a playoff contender. Leave him in and let him develop.
