"Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;"

Kill em

Lower body is all they are saying. I think it's a knee.

First time in weeks I'm this excited for a game... THe Wings will be hard to beat today but one thing I have learned over the years, if a goalie is in that rare zone of confidence and excellence few teams can win...

We will see, Detroit is not the team of the past and the Jackets are playing excellent defensive team hockey and confident... By all rights it should be a close game.

Get it up today, boys. Win this one and the imagination begins to conceive of a possible playoff run.

Right Side of Brain: keep the streak alive

Left Side of Brain: Mackinnon,Barkov,Drouin

Until this is settled one way or the other -Playoffs or not - I will continue to feel this way.

No reason to expect Detroit to be a push over, especially after that last game.

That said, kick some ass Jackets.

Should be close game again, Jackets have Detroit's number. Richards has managed to put up good system against Detroit, they don't get to good scoring areas. Srsly against Det this team has looked like contender.

Andersson should be the 3rd line C, not Tatar. And 2nd line C is Zetterberg. If it matters .

We seem to have a pretty good thing going against Detroit; let's hope we can keep it up.

I'm going to be able to see some of the game today! Yay! Wings will come out hard but I say we keep the streak alive. 4-3 good guys.

Wings are gonna have a whole lot of pent up anger to vent today, but if the Jackets keep their cool and play their game then it should be close whichever way it turns out. They let Detroit dictate play then forget about it.

I expect the Jackets to continue to outplay the Wings, although we'll probably have more rough shifts in our end than we did last game because of matchup issues. Babcock will try and sneak his skilled guys out there against units like the Drazenovic line.

Thought I'd watch some Rangers @ Capitals to pass time only to notice they've played almost two periods already. Seems like you guys switched to daylight savings time last night. Good thing I noticed now, otherwise I would've probably tuned in an hour late for tonight's game and missed the first period.

We win either way! (as long as we don't finish 9th or 10th)

If the Jackets can sustain the first 10 minutes, then counter, it could be a good day.

Playoffs are of course very tempting thought, but I still rather have a high draft pick and draft Jones/McKinnon than go to the playoffs. We've been good lately, but this team doesn't have the skills to go very far. Most likely it just 4-0 loss in the first round and we'd be lucky to have even a one victory in the series.

In long run, it is better to suck this season and get a Top-3 pick in the draft.

Still, I hope we beat the Red Wings today - I can't stand them

This one makes me very nervous. I can't imagine Datsyuk having another game like he had last night.

GO Jackets.

Ian White is in. We're doomed. I have no idea why Matthew picks on Ian but I figured what the heck, I'll go with the flow.
