Garrioch is often wrong. At least not always accurate, that said, we'll sell a few players, won't likely get much. Flash probably goes before Steeg.

Lmao, not a chance. Nothing in thy makes sense, and it's way too much for Lou. How are people still thinking they'll get that much?

You don't have to be an insider to figure out what Tallon needs to do at the moment.

Too bad all of his trade bait has been hurt for most of the season. But maybe that just equates to them being fresher for their new teams.

I wonder if Goc is on the table as well.

Or Campbell.

Actually it isn't Vancouver winning the deal, it's the Islanders, look what they are giving up for Markstrom. Personally I would not trade Markstrom if I was Florida, but by no means should team management be developing him this way. This is a great way to really hurt young goaltenders future, by sticking him in as #1 on a sinking team with no backup support. Clemmenson is having one of the worst years for a goalie ever and Theodore's career is over. Florida should be desperate to pick up a good veteran for this year and at least split the load next year and maybe year after. Markstrom will be a great goalie in the future if developed properly and with a good mentor. Tallon is doing a good job ruining his career if he keeps this up.

The idea that they'd add Versteeg, Goc, and picks to make this change is absurd.
I wouldn't say it makes zero sense, not that I think Florida is going to trade for Luongo.

My reasoning is as follows - Markstrom is 4 years younger than Scneider, who was set to become the starter this year. During that time Luongo was an excellent mentor and partner for Cory, and helped him become the player he is today. I don't think Markstrom is ready to be a fulltime NHL starter, so this could be a similar situation.

Florida gets elite goaltending for the next 4 years until Markstrom is ready to take over fulltime. Wouldn't be totally out of character given that Tallon signed a bunch of players for 3-4 years until his skating prospects were ready. This year it didn't work out as well (partly due to goaltending, amongst other things).

For Luongo I'd want Goc and a decent prospect, someone like Howden. With some salary coming back Van's way. I think that's reasonable and fair.

Theo's injured, he's been called up like every goalie in the A who needs to cover for injuries. He's been fine, couple hiccups, but nothing big. The whole team has been wrecked by injuries.

He's not coming here, if he is, a cap dump will be a part of any deal.

He'd be a great fit in Detroit except for his size.

He's injured, but many of us could see him available.

He's 22 years old...and a d-man...

Won't be going anywhere on a rebuilding Florida team.

This post in particular has left me curiously awaiting a rationale behind it.

Florida gets Lou for Markström, Versteeg, Goc and maybe a pick.. bahaha..

Florida wouldnt move any top prospects for Lou. Lou wouldnt even be close to fetch Markström alone.

I'd love to get Goc on the team, but I don't see how we can afford to keep Versteeg next year.

Why would anyone give up ANYTHING for him. If you team signed this guy today for $4.4 million per year for 2+ years you wouldn't be happy, so why give up something?
