D depth

Following Streit's injury I thought it would be useful to know what our D depth is (which is pretty thin I know). Who would be next in line after Côté?

Edit Should we sign a Tanabe-like player?

Worst case scenario if Cote doesn't do the job or we get hit by too many injuries, sign a guy like Radoslav Suchy or something...

Habs really must sign another Jancevski-calbre D for Hamilton, IMO.

After tearing up the offense with Hainsey early last season, he didn't do all that much after Hainsey left. He is an offensive d-man who I think can hold his own defensively if he has to [but not a PKer by any stretch of the mind]. It's hard to say what he'll turn out to be, I'd like to see what he can do this season after really ending the season on a down note

Well I think he has the skills to replace Streit in the near future! Last year was his first year in the AHL, so lets give him this year and we should seee a lot more constance! He should be top 4 in hamilton this year and on the first pp wave! BTW, do you guys know if LEVER is going to use AK on the point on pp this year?

BTW, why isn't he in HF prospect list?

He used AK on the point of the PP quite a lot last season so he should be doing it again. The only thing in recent memory that I've heard the crowd cheer for at Copps Colesium other than hits and goals, are when Kostitsyn is about to receive a pass to his point on the powerplay.
