Man, Kings just curbstomped the flames. Absolute domination. Score should've been much worse.

LA finding their game already. Gonna be a tough club again this playoffs.

The Oilers' situation just negates all of the joy of watching the Flames lose.

But the Flames are a playoff team, right?

True, but it takes the wind out of their "mock the Oilers" sails.

They could be. Lots of mediocre **** (and ultra ****: the Oilers) in the Western Conference.

Dunno how sold I am on the Kings. Only way their offense is fixed is if Carter plans to keep scoring every single game.

I thought the Kings would have trouble getting into the playoffs this year... guess I was wrong.

I also predicted the Canadiens would be much better than last year... and the Lightning much worse... so 2 out of 3 isn't bad I guess.

Blue Jackets are beating the Red Wings again. 2-1 in the 2nd.

just saw extended highlights of PIT/TOR, my goodness, what a filthy shot by Sid in the shootout. Subtle angle change and just a complete pin point laser beam snipe top corner.

We should personally thank the Flames for getting ROR back into the Avs lineup...

Yes, the Flames got badly beat in every respect, and are now in 15th place in the Western Conference (despite having a much easier schedule thus far than the Oilers).

Flames fans at Calgarypuck were mocking the TSN predictions that had them finishing 14th in the West. Well, take a look at the standings, Flames fans.

Baertschi in the minors after stinking it up in the NHL, Iginla's agent ignoring Feaster's calls, the Ryan O'Reilly national embarrassment, and now a brutal last place team. It's been a tough stretch for Flames fans.

I just hope the Oilers can go on a bit of a run here to further rub their faces in it.

I realize the Flames have two games in hand on us (although I don't see them beating the Kings), but this is still great.

Playoffs are pretty unrealistic at this point but man, 5 points doesn't look like a huge gap does it? Of course, with less than 24 games left 5 points might as well be 10 or 12.

If we beat Colorado (and that's a big if), we're right back in the thick of things with the worst part of our schedule behind us.

The West is always such a cluster**** and this year is no different.

How come nobody is talking about Vancouver's descent to mediocrity? They're clearly not an elite team anymore.

Schneider is not the goalie they were hoping for, now would be a good time to play them

This table just reaffirms my sadness that we put out a terribad team this season.

The west is there for the taking. Apart from Chicago, and possibly Anaheim/LA, this conference is a whole lot of mediocre. Canucks are now also diving in the standings, Minny is meh(though we cannot beat them).

I swear, if we had a bit more balance, we would be comfortably in the playoffs.

It's not that bad yet, the problem is we have only won 2 games in a row once this year and had points in 3 games in a row twice.

We need to get a streak going at some point this year.

Depending on the prognosis of Dubnyk who knows.

However Danis did make some crazy "acrobatic" saves acording to Louie and Kevin.

He made a real great one, just unfortunate that it took him out of the play and led to a goal
