Agree. I know he is not at 100% right now, but if Kopitar ever figures out just how dominant he can be out there, the rest of the NHL will be very worried.

I mean come on, he is every bit as talented as a guy like H. Sedin, but with loads more size and strength. I hope to see the several monster seasons that I know he has in him someday, and I don't necessarily mean points just dominating everyone he goes up against.

Here's a trivia question -- what was the Kings' 2011-12 regular-season record when scoring six goals?
0-0-0?

Wow, that's absolutely to low for the 1st line center.

Yeah, he has been passing a little too much, especially when he is shooting at ~24%. Hard to question his decision making though given that he is playing PPG.

Is 24 % around the league average or above average? I can't find the stat.

I'm pretty sure the league average is about 10%. 24% is not sustainable and is bound to drop significantly, thus one reason he needs to start shooting more to compensate. Carter is not going to maintain his 25%, either.

Obscene shooting percentages across the board is one of the reasons why all of the analytical analysis' say the Ucks will come crashing down eventually.

To add Kopi has 23 missed shots, Brown 26, Carter 28.

So I thought maybe he was missing more that others but that theory went down the toilet pretty fast.

Just realized the Kings are halfway through that 16 game stretch which included 13 home games, and they're 6-2-0. I recall saying that they needed between 20 and 25 points in this stretch to stay right in the thick of the west.

You may find it hard to believe, but per Quisp, 28 points after 23 games is the Kings best start in the Lombardi era, tied with 2009-2010.

Remember what many were saying after the slow start? What's wrong with the Kings? Cup hangover? Using injuries as a crutch to excuse their start. Well, they're back to playing up to their standards now and I have to say, better to start slow and finish strong than to start hot and fizzle at the end.

Not hard to believe at all but it all depends on perspective I guess. I knew (so did others) that the Kings were putting things together and learning how to play missing two and then three key players to their line up to start the year.

You could see that the ability was there and that at times they would put it all together but not with the same kind of consistency that they had under DS last season. It was only a matter of time. I knew we would come around, you could see it if you looked for it.

Just like our young players, if you know what to look for its easy to see who has it and who doesn't.

This team is a very good team. I am still waiting to see us turn the switch on for this season and play lights out hockey. I think that once we do that we can be the best team in the NHL again. This is how we look while we are putting it all together in my opinion.

If we can figure out how to flip the switch back into scary mode then we could win the cup again this season.
