"The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco."
-Mark Twain

Been damned cold in SF in the summer. Candlestick park would go from a calm 72 deg. at noon to 52 deg. with 20 mph wind at 3pm.

But most of the time SoCal is very moderate that's why the temps getting so outrageous were news for us. The fact that there was humidity also rocked us. We're usually dry as a bone. Much easier to cool off when it's dry.

Remember SF's summer is in October. It gets pretty warm up there

This has never happened before. We usually have the most mild climate on the planet

I'm going to be in LA on Monday. It was 114 in San Jose a couple days ago, now more in the 100 range. Still around 118?

No. It has moderated. Mid 90's in Santa Clarita today. Very typical for this time of year. Will get cooler during the week.
