I guess it's time for me to share my RR story then I suppose.

Thanks for listening.

Ugh... Having a photographic memory is a blessing most of the time but it also a horrible, horrible curse some times.

Thanks!

It's been something since I was a kid that I wanted to do, work for an RR company as a conductor or engineer, anything really. Remember when I was little my first paper for school was a "When I grow up" thing. Wrote down train engineer.

I hate losing an hour of sleep. Oh well, doing a lot of schoolwork today/this week in general so i can properly enjoy st. patrick's day next week. And I finally got caught up on the walking dead. Looking forward to the episode tonight

You're only losing an hour of sleep if you get up at the same time...sleep an extra hour and you're not missing any.

Granted, I also remember a couple of his coworkers having some terrible experiences, one guy got coupled between two freight cars, fatally. Another didn't tuck his pants into his boots down by the Ohio St. yard and got bit several times by a rat that went up his pant leg. Not only did he have to get the old fashioned rabies shots in the stomach, he had to deal with a rat bite to the genitals.

Could be my son's last house league hockey game today. The playoffs have a loser bracket, but the worst team to lose today goes home. They're already the worst record in the league, so they either win or go home. The team they're playing they beat in prelims in December.... and haven't beaten since.

Haven't been on in a while, been writing a lot.

Got a job working at Microsoft as a contractor doing some data labeling and categorizing for developing software that I can't really talk about further, so that's cool. First time I've signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement that actually meant something.

Definitely nice to work for a large tech company. Manufacturing firm I used to work for was irritatingly Luddite with some things. And that doesn't even count the guys that had been there 40 years and still wanted to do paper inspections and timesheets. Blech.

We took the tot to see Sesame Street Live yesterday at Shea's. It was a success. She really liked the show and I was impressed that for the amount of toddlers and preschoolers running around, it was organized chaos. It really wasn't too bad.

I've always been terrified to take Nolan to some place like that. But now he's getting to the age where I know he (and I ) would make it okay by ourselves. It's probably much easier with two parents to handle it

Just think of the perks though...you know a steady paycheck, some internal rage building on a daily basis

Can't forget that rage! But hey in my mind you're lucky. I can't even get the freaking job as a sales associate at 7-11.

Now tell us how you really feel...

Well, not the first time you've noted that in this thread. I presume the resumes are being dusted off?

It's paid the bills for 12, nearly 13 years. It's time to find something else to pay the bills.

I'm literally trying to hang on long enough to have surgery and have part of it covered by my medical. Now for the surgeon to call me the **** back.
