OT: Sending PowerPoint Problem

(I posted this in the Geek forum too haha.. no one is there though)

Ok so i made a powerpoint a few days ago about a little trip i had with my family.

Today I decided that i wanted to send it to some family in italy. I used my moms outlook express to send it. So i attach the file, and click send.. as soon as i do that, everything jams. I let it go for a while to see if it would "un-jam', but it didn't.

So i restarted my pc.. and tried to send it again, and once again it jammed. I then decided to use my hotmail account to try to send it with that. I go to attach the file, and the screen just says, this page is temporarily unavailable. I tried using IE and Firefox, and the same thing happened.

I'm using Windows Xp, if that's any help. It's probably something really stupid.. but i don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance for any help

I suggest zipping the file. If you are doing a slideshow of pics from a dig camera, I assume the file is quite large. If it's too large your ISP probably won't allow the transfer.

Does zipping the file make it a lot smaller?

I think maybe 20%.

Maybe cut the .ppt file down to 4-5 files. That way you can send them all and your Italian relataives won't have to unzip it.

take your original powerpoint file and copy the pages into other powerpoint files so that they each have less pages. then you can save each one separately like 'old orchard 1' or 'guido vacation 2006' or whatever.

Send a message via Skype™ to Le Tricolore
upload the file to www.sendspace.com and then give your family and such the link it will give you once it's uploaded.

Hotmail only allows you to send files that are at a maximum of 10 mb large i beleive, not too sure about outlook but u should use mjb45's method it will be much easier
