No need to look anywhere but Baltimore for a lesson on negotiating. Flacco good, Boldin bad.

Don't tell the team you'll retire if they cut you, because then they'll just force you to take a pay cut:

Boldin stated he'll retire if he doesn't get a contract from Baltimore..

Yeah and a cow takes a **** on a farm, you know he was just ploying management for money.

Adios Boldin

Not really. IIRC, Flacco is supposed to make something like $6.8M this year and Boldin's deal runs out next year before Flacco's big money sets in.

Flacco has a small cap hit next season and Boldin only had a year left on his deal. Ozzie must not think that Boldin is worth his cap hit next season.

Boldin is from the Miami area, he would be a great fit.

Boldin was the Ravens best receiver in the SB, by far. If they lose him, they'll have a huge hole to fill.

I have a feeling the Steelers might try to sign Steven Jackson.

That is the big rumor right now, but there have so many times where agents have used the Dolphins to drive their players price up. Im HOPING that is the case, but Ill wait until tomorrow evening to see what really is happening. If they do get Wallace, upgrade the TE with Cook, Bennett, or Keller, and either re-sign Long, or get Winston, that offense is going to be MUCH improved. They can then take care of the defense in the draft, and with whatever cap space they have left, and by doing so, should be a wild card team.

Vikings trying to trade WR Percy Harvin and are in discussions with Seahawks, amongst other teams, per team sources. Seahawks favored.
Maybe we can get Sidney Rice back for him!

I guess the Redskins didn't go nuclear and hold up free agency.

They should sign Bernard Berrian next and finish their recreation of the 09-10 Vikings WR corps.

I love Harvin but he's not worth the money he wants or the volatility/drama he's brings, but I wouldn't just give him away either. I hope we get at least a 2nd.

Im sure the Harvin deal will throw a wrench into the Wallace to Miami deal, as I see the Vikings going hard after him now.

Hopefully.

Our only WR's under contract right now are Jarius Wright, Stephen Burton and Chris Summers (not including a crippled Greg Childs).

That makes me yearn for the days of Travis Taylor, Troy Williamson and Marcus Robinson.

They could go after Jennings also. I keep seeing that Wallace wants a warm weather spot, and that a deal between him and the Fins is practically done. We will see tomorrow evening I think.

I don't really want Jennings given his age and injury issues. But if it's a short term deal I'd take him. But I heard Jennings wants warm weather and a good QB. So that rules out Minnesota anyway.
