That goal was pretty awesome. And good for him on becoming the youngest to get to 100 pts. Excited to see him on this side of the pond next season.

Actually Armia was not the youngest player ever to score 100 points. Mikael Granlund was eight days younger when reaching it.

Not that it really matters.

Those videos never work for me.
Worked in FF, not Chrome. Loved the bankpass to himself.

I believe that's an elbow pad that has fallen to his right wrist/hand and not a glove.

Not sure where to put it, but Bob McKenzie with some college free agent news:

So I assume Grigorenko is eligible for the calder next season?

Realistically we could have Grigorenko, Armia and our 2013 1st on our team next season.

I don't think it's unrealistic, we have a seriously shortage of talent on the wing right now. Foligno isn't ready for a top 6 role, Stafford is brutal, these are two wingers that we penciled in for the top 6 before the season started, but realistically they are 3rd line forwards. Armia would add a big body with a ton of skill. He's been playing against men, I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck next year after camp, another strong summer and I think he could be effective in our line up. That 1st could be Monahan/Lindholm/MacKinnon(Please God!!!), etc. As for Grigs he very well could make it but let's be honest he has a lot of work to do.

OK, I suppose it is realistic, although not likely IMHO. Stung by the irony of my own post. Touche.

Wisconsin advances, but McCabe hurt:
Quote:
UW scored three times in the first 8 minutes Saturday night and rode its maturity and defensive prowess the rest of the way to a 4-1 victory before an announced crowd of 10,104.

On the heels of a 3-1 decision in the series opener Friday night, the Badgers (19-12-7 overall) advanced to the Final Five — which begins Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. — for the first time since 2010 and continued the process of exorcizing the demons that tormented them for the first six weeks of the season.
Quote:
The lone downer for UW came early in the second when sophomore defenseman Jake McCabe left the game with what Eaves said was a lower-body injury suffered during the game. McCabe’s status for the Final Five isn’t certain.

On Jake McCabe’s status:
“He has a lower body injury. That’s all I know right now, so I’m hoping that whatever he has he’s a fast healer.”

Minnesota and Christian Isackson advance as well -

MINNEAPOLIS - A night after allowing Bemidji State to force overtime with a late goal, the Minnesota men's hockey program had its turn to play the spoilers in Saturday's 4-3 Gophers' win as Minnesota advanced to the WCHA Final Five next weekend in St. Paul. The Gophers rallied from a two-goal deficit on Saturday before Ben Marshall tallied the eventual game winner with 53 seconds left in regulation. Minnesota returns to action next weekend at the Xcel Energy Center with a WCHA Final Five semifinal matchup against an opponent to be determined. The Gophers will play in the 7:00 pm CT semifinal on Friday, March 22. http://www.gophersports.com/sports/m...031713aaa.html

LaxSabre - Isackson wasn't involved in the Gopher scoring summary last night - he had no goals, no assists. He had two shots on night, went 1-1 on faceoffs and was a - 1 as he was on the ice for the second Bemidji State goal. Friday, he did much better - at least stat wise - assisted on Kyle Rau's game winning overtime goal, had six shots and had a 0 plus/minus. Only downer - he was 0-2 on faceoffs.

Linus Ullmark did a really good game for Modo tonight against Färjestad in game 4 of the SEL Quarterfinals. Ullmark did replace Starkbaum 3 mins into the game and saved 25 out of 27 shots, some of the saves really nice though. Modo won 5-4 in overtime after been down 2-4.

Was a must-win for Modo as they were down 0-3 in the series. Now 1-3. Maybe Linus is getting the start in game 5 on wednesday.

More on Ullmark from recap:
Quote:
MODO went behind twice in their must win game 4 match in Örnsköldsvik, trailing 0-2 after just 3.09 minutes had gone by in the first period and 2-4 with 11min 19sec left to play in the third period. The comeback can go down to a key goaltending change after Färjestad’s second goal, where MODO brought in 19 year old Linus Ullmark, who had never played a Slutspel match in his young career.

Ullmark made many key saves which lifted his team throughout the match and gave them the opportunity to fight back and force the game into overtime, where Ladislav Nagy got the puck behind Salak to win the match 5-4 for MODO.

The goalie change was a signal to the team to bite the bullet and go. Ullmark came in and fought well with several good saves, especially in overtime, expressed MODO’s Head-Coach Ulf Samulsson to Kanel 9 after game 4.
