TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Roadrunners lost another close game in which they out-shot their opponent as the Cleveland Barons defeated the Roadrunners 3-2 on Sunday night at the Ricoh Coliseum.
Chad Hinz and Brad Winchester scored for the Roadrunners, while Michael Henrich, and Jamie Wright each recorded one assist. Igor Ulanov recorded two assists for the Roadrunners and was named the game's third star.
Seven different Baron skaters had a point in the game. Grant Stevenson, Miroslav Zalesak, and Jon DiSalvadore were the goal scorers for the Barons and Craig Valette, Brad Boyes, Tavis Hansen, and David Cloutier accounted for the assists.
Roadrunners netminder Stephen Valiquette made 30 saves on 33 shots and Cleveland goaltender Seamus Kotyk made 40 saves on 42 shots for his third win of the season.
The Roadrunners were 0 for 3 on the power play, while the Barons were 1 for 5.
The Roadrunners return to action December 26th, when they play the fourth game of an eight game home stand against the Manitoba Moose.
