How many more times is Pierre going to talk about Callahan making Team USA for Sochi? I think everybody knows he's a pretty good bet to make Team USA.

With Callahan he was on the team last time and got considerably better since then. It's not a shocking thing. He literally talked about it 3 different times during the game.

Let's wait for a pens game to see if he thinks Crosby will play for Canada!

Came here to post the same thing. He's such a POS. I really wish refs would start calling dives/embellishments more.

The Pens are like Gordon Bombays ducks at the start... players come in and start diving even when they did not have a rep for it before.

Take the fall!

Act hurt! Get indignant!

I was wandering around the forums, and in some Canes thread I saw them talking about how Sutter was suddenly a diver when they couldn't recall him doing much of that at all in Carolina.

The constant diving from Pens players, especially from newly acquired players that never had a history of such things, is kind of glaring. For some reason, even though it's no where to the extent of it, it reminds me of the whole crap that the Saints did with the headhunting.

It is pretty bad in PITT, I think in general there is way too much diving. Every team does it. The Flyers do it. The difference, to me anyway, is that when Pittsburgh does it, they ***** and moan and complain to the refs when the penalty is not called. When other teams do it they get up and get back into the game for the most part if no call is made.

With other teams I get the vibe that it's just individuals trying to sell a call. With Pitt I get the vibe it's part of their team identity. So are sneaky, dirty plays...or dirty plays in general.

Just look at Asham. He turned psychotic when he got there. He's returned back to Normal Asham in New York. I also don't remember hearing much, if anything, about Neal being a dirty player before he was a Pen.

According to a report from KENS 5, Florida Panthers prospect and current San Antonio Rampage forward Scott Timmins was arrested Monday morning after a San Antonio mother of three allegedly found the player asleep on their couch.

Timmins is accused of breaking into the home owned by Benjamin Garza after a night out with teammates at a local bar.
Garza explained to reporter Karen Grace that upon facing Timmins, he told the Panthers prospect, "You're lucky I wasn't here because I would've put a bullet between your eyes and it would've been over for you."

It was idiotic considering that extra point could mean the difference between the 8th spot and an early start to the golfing season. I wish Rask would've had the presence of mind to simply lie down in the crease and simply lie there motionless

(For those wondering) Daugavins flipped his stick and placed the blade on top of the puck, essentially pushing it towards the net, ringuette style. There was no way of lifting the puck whatsoever. He was hoping to spin-o-rama it into the net.

Yeah weird attempt for sure. Apparently he tried it before in the AHL and scored on it.

as if the shootout itself isn't a big enough joke, they specifically changed the penalty shot rule for during the actual game, too:

Quote:
The lacrosse-like move whereby the puck is picked up on the blade of the stick and “whipped” into the net shall be permitted provided the puck is not raised above the height of the shoulders at any time and when released, is not carried higher than the crossbar. See also 80.1.

The spin-o-rama type move where the player completes a 360° turn as he approaches the goal, shall be permitted as this involves continuous motion.

So a guy can charge a goalie in a shootout and quickly do a lacrosse move to put it behind the goalie? Honestly, I want to see more lacrosse goals.
