I said prospect/young and by young I ment developing.

Simmonds is far more developed than Zack, although once Zack reaches that level I think he will be just as good if not better.

Plus they are a tad different in style.

I don't think the difference in value of Schneider vs Luongo is all that big. But from a Flyers perspective if we do go down that road and get another goalie and buyout/trade Bryz the one we would want in return in Schneider. We already have had our fill of massively long term contracts on 30+ year old goaltenders.
For us the return for Schneider needs to be marginally higher than Luongo's.

Not that I think Luongo's return is the moon, I consider myself very realistic with how I assess his value, but the return for Schneider would not only have to match his value as a young starting goalie with top 5 potential, but it would have to exceed that enough to tempt us into actually trading him and keeping Roberto.

If ya know what I mean.

Can you definite "young" and "starting goalie" ?

the way i see it, right now, Schneider is neither.

Schneider will turn 27yo next week, at what age people will stop Calling Schneider "young"?

You'll have to forgive Sergei, he is the Canucks' representative tire pumper. The Canucks lose a game and he's convinced they won. Every fanbase has them!

But yeah, Schneider is a young starting goalie who is top 5 in the league.

I guess by young, I mean inexperienced. Either way he is entering his prime years. And yes he is a starter.

And yeah we can stop calling him young if it bothers you that much.

Not sure what you are stabbing at, I just said he wasn't young. And there is a difference between 26 and 30.
