Turris impressed me every time we've played the Sens. How does he only have 2 goals?

Look at your post again. He impress you every time he plays us.

What players don't impress when they play us?

Can someone tell me what the **** this is?

http://thehockeywriters.com/thw-pane...d-nhl-players/

#8: Ryan Kesler

Quote:
Injury riddled and not enough drive for me. – Clayton Theriault
Yep, I could see how someone would win the Selke if they didn't have drive. I wonder why Zherdev never won one.

#6 Ryan Suter

Quote:
but did Suter really deserve to be paid more than $7.5 million/year on average for producing less-than-spectacular offensive numbers? In 24 games this season, Suter has only 1 goal and 17 assists for 18 points with a -6 plus/minus rating for the goal-starving Wild.
Wow, 18 points in 24 games for a defenseman sure is horrible.

#5 Ryan Miller

Quote:
Miller leads this NHL this season with 12 regulation losses, having a 9-12-3 record in 24 games for the disappointing Sabres in 2013. Without a shutout this season, Miller has posted a an inflated 2.86 GAA and a good .914 Save % for the cellar-dwelling Sabres.
I think Miller used to be overrated, but come on. Has anyone seen this Sabres defense? They're all so lost in the D zone.

#1 Rick Nash

Quote:
Despite having all the talent in the world, Nash has eclipsed the 70-point mark only once in his 10-year NHL career. Sure he has 23 points (9 g and 13 a) in 20 games this season for the Rangers, but prior to this season he wasn’t even close to be a point-per-game player in the NHL (0.81 PPG). The power forward’s production has never equalled the “elite” category that some hockey pundits have placed him in. If Nash can keep this production this season and lead the Blue Shirts to a playoff berth, he will finally have the chance to prove everyone wrong by leading New York deep in the playoffs.
Just wow.

John Scott?

He looked good in other Sens games I've watched too. I thought he had more goals than that.

Those kind of articles give writers of hockey a bad, uninformed name.

I could never bring myself to write about players being "overrated". It's just a buzz word people use for hits, and it has no meaningful purpose whatsoever. How does it further one's knowledge of the game of hockey? That should be the goal of a writer. Put new perspective into your ideas and thoughts. Not the same concept recycled numerous times.

Too often to people mistake overrated as interchangeable with over-payed.

Calgary is never going to make the playoffs again if they don't change their "we don't need a rebuild" philosophy.

This Senators team is one of the most impressive I've seen in sports. What they're doing without their two best players is admirable and just downright amazing. Excellent coaching and disciplined execution, good for them.

I really don't understand their logic. The team was going anywhere before and adding on some of these old players as a quick fix isn't exactly going to fix anything.

I hate seeing that stuff in the shootout and don't want to see it become 'normalized'....

Why can't the players just break in like they earned a breakaway during the normal course of the game???

Just get rid of the shootout. It's not hockey.

Reminds me of the Rangers strategy during the dark ages pre-lockout.
