How about Garrison on the PP before Barker. Also of note I would like to see the PP set up "shaken up".

Do you really think that Cam Barker on the PP is the best option for AV right now?

Is Ballard still injured, or is he a healthy scratch?

Cam Barker on the PP? GOLD! So why did they sign Garrison anyway?

"We think we have pairings that can work, and we certainly have a spot on the power play for a shot like that," said Gillis. "I'm pretty confident that he has still further upside."
Hopefully famous last words but, hey, maybe Gillis can deal him back to Florida for the rights to Marco Sturm? Oops, Sturm's a UFA. How about Kovalev?

They signed Garrison to be a shutdown D that can provide some offense. You can blame AV for not using him in that PP role, but he has certainly been the shutdown guy that was promised to us.

Should have just paid up for Sami Salo the Guy was Clutch and still is even with the injury risk I still wish he retired a Canuck And maybe this pwr play wouldn't be in the situation they are with a few Sami Salo Bombs.

We are not lacking big shots that miss the net. Salo would just be redundant.

Salo wouldn't be redundant and already had chemistry here. Unlike Garrison, Salo had a nack for finding the net with his shot more often then not.

Plus hes a right handed shot somthing this team lacks at the piont right now.

Lmao at 5 left handed players on a pwr play its no wonder they struggle.

Anyone remember the game where we had McCarthy, Butenschon and Mojzsis in our top 6 on D? (was that the trio...I'm fuzzy on it) And we still managed to win.

For those talking about Drazenovic... one reason he was lined up with Atkinson and Calvert was because before the NHL season started, that was the top line in Springfield. Another reason is that both Dubinsky and Anisimov were hurt and Brassard just came back from an injury.

I'll be in attendance for this one. Hoping for a clean game (no injuries to either side).

Have fun at the game! Not too much fun, mind you - that would mean it's at our expense.

Thanks for the lineup info.

Saw a comment from somewhere on this board about Edler's back. I missed the game so I have no idea, but has it been causing issues for him or something?

Sure, Ebbet sucks, but you can't fault Vigneault for at least trying to find someone who can produce like an NHL forward. I am sure if Ebbet's production is as poor as Schroeder's and Schroeder plays well in the AHL that we will see Schroeder back up here.

Schroeder had 2g,2a +4 and tons of scoring chances in the 9 games he played before AV reduced his role once Kesler came back. That's not exactly abysmal for a rookie, that's actually pretty decent.

Secondly, I'm not exactly sure what you expect someone's offensive numbers to be when you play only 10 minutes night along side grinders like Volpatti, Sestito, and Wiese.

AV is major idiot and this whole situation makes me sick.

I'm starting to think AV makes all his decisions with the coin.

Lose tonight, and I think it's about time Gillis evaluates his future as a coach by the same method.

Feeling heat from a losing streak? Throw Ebbett on the 2nd line, bench Ballard, and replace him with Barker who'll also get some PP time.

I don't feel goo about this team at all. I would rather we keep losing and get a high draft pick. This team has too many terrible contracts and stale players that they need a change of culture. Losing is a good way to bring about these changes

I would rather we keep losing until Gillis or even Aquillini are forced to make a move.

In terms of tanking and getting high picks? NOT A CHANCE. Escepcially while we still have 2 of the most productive players in the NHL at their primes.
