I'm quite the opposite. I see this Avs group as the Oilers biggest competition in years to come (probably Chi and Stl too). There's a ton of top end prospects/budding stars in this game. Looking for who steps up and separates themselves from the others

LMAO, the image you used for Horcoff was hilarious. Great job.

I didn't think I'd ever say this in my lifetime but we really missed Horcoff being out. Hopefully we can get some more stability to that forward group with him back.

We're still missing Downie and Hejduk was just added to IR. Barrie will probably remain benched for Hunwick or some pylon (O'Byrne/O'Brien/O'Zanon).

I think our coach evens out this game.

uhhhhhhhhhh have you seen our coaching.

we think if we score in the first period, we are the pk for the remaining 40 minutes.

INSERT THE PETRELL MONSTER

SMYTH YOURE UP

BREAKING INTO OFFENSIVE ZONE?

HORCOFF/MPS/RNH PLS SIT AT BLUE LINE LIKE A 3RD DMAN.

ps: whats with NHL forwards not knowing how to skate backwards. like even really good ones with good skating.

I believe due to last game, Horcoff being in the lineup, and a day off. They are feelin rather "high and mighty". So i think it will be a battle of goalies and 2-1 OT W for the Oilers.

Lets in one bad goal per game. Sometimes from center ice.

Go Oilers.

My pet peeve of the day. "We won last game so the lineup stays the same". I've always hated that crap. lol Coaching should be about doing everything possible to win the next game not just hoping that what happened in the last game repeats itself. Be proactive not reactive. And just because the "team" won the last game shouldn't automatically mean that every player gets a pass for the next game.

Fistric should not be sitting and I don't care if it means either of the Shultz's get a "maintenance" day.
How does trading for Brown and then sitting Eager add to our toughness?
Does Ryan Smyth get faster in thin air or does he just come to a complete halt on the ice with the lack of oxygen?

I took my winter tires off my Jeep yesterday. It's snowing heavily today. I'm not shovelling jack. I will friggen well sit here in my living room until it melts. lol

I'll join the chorus of people expecting a loss tonight. This one could get ugly.

Colorado has been good since they were forced to sign ROR. Sometimes I think that was the Calgary Flames WANTING the Av's to finish above them in the standings this year.

But alas, they are a lock to finish ahead of us as well.

Yeah. Colorado looks night and day with Landeskog and Ryan O'Reilly. Plus, the Duchene v Edmonton factor can never be discounted.

Still feeling negative. Grrr.

This...this is funny.

Maybe the injury helps fix his softgoalitis.

Anyone know if we're keeping...
Hall-Horcoff-Hemsky
Paajarvi-Gagner-Yakupov
together?

At the very least, until Yakupov's benching in the third?

As long as Duchene is in the lineup, Oilers fans have every reason to be worried. "Oiler Killer" doesn't even begin to describe it.

Nice GDT Nuge!

Hoping the boys can string together some wins finally. They have to start playing with some urgency.

I hope so. Putting Petrel up in topsix gave me bad Domenic Pittisful flashbacks..

Man this club loves to heap **** assignments on Gagner. hmmm, lets see what Sammy does with a bottomsix player that wouldn't be in the NHL On any other club and that is getting owned for EV GA this year and brings nothing but pk to the table and can't control or pass a puck to save his life..

jebus, somewhere Tambo with the **** eating grin:

"Dammit Gagner is scoring goals, goals I say, two first period goals, arrrggggghhh!!!!!, stop it stop it, we must stop it, we might screw up and win some games.."

jebus part 2 Lets recall Ethan Moreau. We don't suck enough. More cowbell..

Clearly you didn't see the Nashville game. Clearly the Hawks did and couldn't stop laughing long enough in the first period to take us seriously.

We're still the team that lost 6-0 in Nashville to a club that scores 2 goals/night. Not sure when Preds last lit the lamp 6 times but we're good slump busters.

Watching the Hawks game you knew that Chicago still expected to win the game after going down 4-0. They were pretty surprised when they somehow didn't pull it out.

Hawks must feel sorry for us or something. Its inexplicable what our record is against that team. Makes no sense at all.

Prefer Jones over Petrel or Harti over Petrell.

Jones adds some jam on that third line, I guess. Beyond that, Petrell kills penalties. If you dress Harti, you have 94/13 10/28 89/XX to kill the penalty...

We play for ties.

The Oilers are feeling "fat" and satisfied after that Chicago game. I expect the worst tonight.
