This also means that if IFK advance they will face Jokerit in the quarterfinals for the third time in as many years.

True, but extremely unlikely that Lukko would beat SaiPa the way they have been playing recently.

JYP is the favorite obviously because of their routine, history of success in the last several years for the team (and the players in their careers) and depth compared to HPK. You never know though and HPK's goaltender and first line can go God-mode for all we know.

Anyway, I'd expect a fairly close series.

Over the regular season, the teams met five times. HPK won three in regulation and had one SO loss. Two of its wins were away games (though JYP similarly won twice in Hämeenlinna).

Playoffs is a world of its own of course, but it doesn't exactly look one-sided - more like a tossup.

Go SaiPa and Lukko. I don't want Jokerit vs. HIFK series as I think this country couldn't handle it...and I think you all know what I mean.

Both HIFK and Karpat win, so it comes down to winners of the sunday matches

And the game misconduct for Bruun

Lukko won in OT, face Jokerit at quarters. HIFK face Tappara.

Seems Hartwall Areena will be getting a spanking new jumbotron, at the latest before the Worlds. Possibly during the playoffs already.

What do you want a Jumbotron to do? The current one seems to do the job nicely (ie show video and most importantly the score)

Jatkoaika, Jokerit section, Hartwall Areena thread. Curiously enough it was an IFK fan posting about it(I assume he's working for the company connected to the process). Supposedly "state of the art".

The current one is old technology(poor resolution) and falling a apart (light bulbs breaking here and there).

Lukko's assistant coach was punched in the head by a (Jokerit) fan after the game?
