none of those deals make any sense from a habs pov.
Leblanc may have struggled with injuries this year, but he's still got enough upside to be worth more than a UFA-to-be struggling Morrow & late pick 2 years from now.
Murray is playing like a bottom-pairing D, & is a another UFA-to-be. Weber has little trade value, but is still an RFA and can play a (albeit different) bottom-pairing role if needed. No reason to add a pick & I might not even do it 1-for-1 at this point.
The Chimera deal might be the closest, but Kristo is having a great year in the NCAA, and may end up being the habs most NHL ready fwd prospect next fall... not worth moving for a bottom-6 fwd when we already have decent depth in those roles.
i don't know if you all heard all of Bergevins interviews
when he got hired to be GM for the Canadiens. but he repeated
plenty of times that his priority was young prospects and long term
success.. idk why all you people keep posting trades with our prospects
going for one year veterans...
Marc Bergevin is NOT going to trade a prospect for a one year deal player or veteran.
the only way players like Iginla is coming to montreal is if players like Bourque
or Gionta are leaving in return, so its not gonna happen.
please stop posting these proposals, theres no use for them because theres
no chance of it happening.
whats realistically prob going to happen is Bergevin being patient and waiting until trade deadline comes.
for teams that are on the border of making playoffs and want to boost their
teams the most they can. to call and to ask for good middle aged or veteran players
they would need to have a better chance in making playoffs and having a long run.
Bergevin isn't in a position to buy. we're 1st in the eastern conference.
for him to move, it will take a good trade or an overpayment. Or we just
stay the way we are and go for it in playoffs with what we have.
we're not in an emergency mode. If teams want some of our players
then they'll pay up. its not the opposite.
