Gay didn't cost much at all. Lewis is likely to get a lot of money. If by some miracle he doesn't the Steelers will bring him back too.

Cortez Allen will start opposite of Ike. Foote isn't that bad. He's still good against the run. Hood is serviceable but not worthy of the 1st the Steelers spent on him.

We really need Foote. We have no depth at ILB. He had a decent year last season.

Gay will be a nickel back.

Hood is mediocre. I would have like to see Heyward on field more often.

Foote was very poor against the run last year. Easily worse than Timmons, Woodley, and Harrison, maybe even Worilds.

That said, it's a decent move since we literally have no one else.

Yeah, I guess he did fall off a bit last year now that I look back at it. I remember he was very good at run D early in his career but that was playing Timmons position. It's a lot harder in Farrior's old spot.

I don't think the Burress signing means no Breaston. Burress isn't an NFL starter anymore.

Brown
Breaston
Sanders
Cotchery (release if Breaston is signed?)
Burress

Steelers could draft a receiver.

Told Mike Wallace is getting his physical in Miami right now. If all goes well, signs point to him signing today.
Enjoy South Beach, Mike.

Steelers will sign Beanie Wells and draft Eddie Lacy

Ravens lose Paul Kruger, blow to them, good move for Cleveland though.

Wells seems like a good reclamation project for a team lacking a #1 RB like the Steelers. Not sure if the Steelers feel the same though.

Paul Kruger to the Browns. He was fantastic for the Ravens last year.

I'm not the type of fan that hates on guys that go to other teams for more money. I'd do the same . But Wallace I cannot stand. Nowhere to be seen in the playoffs for his entire career, yet demanded to be paid fitz money. If he could have done anything to help out Ben in the Super Bowl, we could have won who knows. It's not a coincidence we haven't won a Super Bowl since drafting him. Ben didn't have that go to guy....when Wallace should have been that. Give me Holmes over him anytime ( thanks Rooney ) .

So hope he enjoys his time in Miami, continuing to lose.

I hope we trade back with a team like San Fran if we are drafting Lacy cause I don't see him lasting till our 2nd pick and I don't want him at 17.

I agree that I'd take Holmes as an all around WR over Wallace and I'd damn sure take Holmes in the playoffs. He made a lot of big plays in the playoffs for us. Wallace is way easier to deal with off the field though. At least the kid stays out of trouble. That was Holmes's biggest downfall here.

Adam Levitre to Tennessee.

I don't want a RB in round one even if we trade back. I do like Lacy as a player though.

I think Lacy is falling due to injury. He missed his Pro day. My guess is somewhere in second to third round.

I thought Kruger would go Indy since Pagano is familiar with him. It makes sense for Kruger. I guess he wants more money.

Yeah no probs off the field , I'm just hating because of our Super Bowl loss...something I didn't get over. Couldn't care less when we did win and guys like ARE and McFadden signed for bigger deals elsewhere. Was happy for em because they contributed to our success.

I was done with Wallace after the Denver loss in playoffs. It was bad enough he couldn't step up against greenbay, but I chalked it up to only being his second year. Then he gets 2 catches for 17 yards against Denver. It was obvious after that he is not playoff guy, someone you can count on. That offseason is when he said he wanted to be paid like fitz....while others got upset at that, it was pure comedy for me because I was already done with him. Mendenhall can go too, and sanders can be next. Steelers need to get back to having tough players.....therrien wouldn't like any of these guys we've been drafting on offense.

Leave it to a team like Miami to dish out money like that for a player like Wallace. Those teams never learn, and why they remain at the bottom. It never fails.

I'm hearing that we're getting 2014 3rd round compensatory pick for Wallace. Is that true?

$13M a year for Wallace is ridiculous. Miami is coming to Pitt this fall. Should be interesting.

They don't need to draft a RB in the second round. I'd say at the earliest third round for an RB.

I don't think Lacy will fall at all to be honest. At the earliest I could see him getting drafted by Cincy or St Louis at 20 or 21.

I don't know when/if the Steelers will draft a RB but it is their weakest position by far right now. If the value is there I won't be surprised at us taking one at any pick after our first.
