They really could use a center or RH shooting defenseman more, but he'd be a nice addition to a 3rd line with Miller and Callahan. Or he could be the board player on a line with Gaborik/Richards - an upgrade on Taylor Pyatt offensively, for sure.
Clowe + Demers/Braun for? Just for conversation's sake

a Rags fan offered Hagelin if we added a pick....I think it's pretty fair.

Clowe has been injured this season, and the amazing thing is he still has been destroying anyone who dares to challenge him.
Also early this year during the win streak, though he was not scoring he was a force in front of the net and I remember quite a few goals going in while he was screening the net.
If you can get over his extreme lack of speed which will cause him to not make the play 2-3 times a game, he is still a good, very valuable heart and soul player.

Still wouldn't take it. Vlasic is invaluable to this team.

Rich Peverly fits this description to a "T". However, I think Chiarelli is looking to upgrade on Chris Bourque for that line. Swapping Clowe in for Peverly doesn't necessarily make that line any better from a production standpoint.

ugh, I would rather the B's not add another big body and become even harder to play against.

I don't think it would take a lot, honestly.
I dont know if his dropoff would be that sudden. I hope the Sharks arent going to sell low based on this year.

Then again, alot of Sharks fans seem to be sick of him.

It looks like the Boston Bruins have been scouting the California-based teams in general. Three scouts from Boston attended both the Kings versus Predators game as well as the match between the Kings and the Blues.

The LA Times reporter (Helene Elliott) noticed the following scouts in attendance:

Kings vs. Blues game

Boston Bruins - 3 scouts
New York Rangers - 2 scouts
Vancouver Canucks - 2 scouts
Detroit Red Wings - 2 scouts
Buffalo Sabres
Calgary Flames
Montreal Canadiens
Ottawa Senators
Philadelphia Flyers
Tampa Bay Lightning
Toronto Maple Leafs
Anaheim Ducks
Colorado Avalanche
Dallas Stars
Edmonton Oilers
Minnesota Wild
Nashville Predators
Phoenix Coyotes
San Jose Sharks

Kings vs. Predators game

Boston Bruins - 3 scouts
Buffalo Sabres
New York Rangers
Ottawa Senators
Philadelphia Flyers
Tampa Bay Lightning
Calgary Flames
Colorado Avalanche
Edmonton Oilers
St. Louis Blues
Vancouver Canucks

Those two statements don't relate.

His value is based on what the other team's are willing to give up and the number of teams who want him. Besides, if McLellan wanted him gone, he wouldn't have given him as many chances as he has; it's the fans who want him gone.

But, isn't that what he is? UFA at season end, no?

If true, then a late first and prospect would be a genorous payback.

Both teams are trying to add depth and win the Cup. I don't think that makes us good trading partners.

I know the Bruins have strong interest in Ryane Clowe but asking price is 1st rd pk and prospect from what I am told. Too high.

YES! YES! YES! Please!

What do the sharks want?
Well, he'd fit right in. Draft pick probably.

Well he definitely look like he's lost a step, although I can't say whether that's from a loss of skill or just needing a change of scenery.

Clowe would be perfect for the B's. Big, tough, stands up for his teammates and doesn't take crap from anyone. Oh, and he can dish the puck quite well too.

Did I mention you would be buying low too? It's a perfect scenario for the B's, plus they can restore having their token Newfie they loss in Ryder.

EDIT: Just read tweet, looks like you won't be buying low.

Isn't he playing injured?

Someone posted that. I thought it was the reason he's struggled this season.
