Flyers preparing to make a trade?

Flyers started to lose contracts when they waived Sestito and he was claimed. Now Ford was sent to CBJ for future considerations and Gustafsson was sent to Adirondack

Something brewing?

I'm assuming it's something involving Briere with the possibility of a D man coming back.

I'm guessing just trying to keep space available in the case of a trade or even signing a college UFA.

Flames and Flyers have been scouting each other apparently.

If we move our first rounder this year for JayBo I will join the fire Homer Campaign. Now if its next years then I wouldn't be that mad.

Would you blame Homer/Philly management if they moved a few pieces here and there and just sucked their way to the bottom? Get a Top 3 pick for their struggles and then whatever they could for moving pieces like Briere and others.

Feaster isn't that smart, but I'm sure he isn't ********. If he is trading his assets for picks and prospects, it will be for this year's DEEP draft not next year's.

Every year is a 'deep draft' until a few days before it. Then everyone sours on it and says next year's is the deepest since 2003. Lather rinse repeat. Every time

I don't want Jaybo for any of our 1st round picks. This guy is a career MINUS 58, MINUS 21 last year, were not talking Nick Lidstrom here. Throw in a salary of almost 7 million and NOT wanting him

Right now when college teams are eliminated they are free to sign either by the team that holds their rights or players who actually are free agents to sign with any club.

Feaster should be looking at young NHL ready talent, not future picks he will likely never be around to see. There's a reason he was willing to give up picks for ROR.

JayBo is quietly playing at a level easily deserving of a mid-1st+.

Hope Homer trades Coburn to the Avs for a package. Would include Pick+ Elliott + Depth Dman in a package

The way this team is playing that pick won't be mid first, so I wouldn't move it for him.

As much as I like Coburn, we definitely wouldn't be adding a 1st to Elliot for him. Although something around Elliot seems fair.

Not sure I'd include Elliott with a 1st, but the idea of Coburn and EJ together almost makes it worth it.

Remember if you do trade for Coburn, you get him for 3 more years at 4 million. I think the first rounder would need to be included if we trade Coburn there.

Honestly, I think a few of us Avs fans would be willing to move our 1st in the right package for a Dman. Most of us feel with a Top 4/ Top 2 Dman to play with EJ our team would be a playoff team.

However, if our 1st AND Elliott was involved in a trade, it would have to be for Coburn+.

Not sure what the + would have to be, but something fairly decent. If a roster player isn't an option, I would want Laughton as the +.
