it wouldn't be that hard to lift to puck. you could flip it with the blade of your stick.

Try the move yourself and get back to us with what happened to the puck as soon as you lifted your blade off of it. It's a novelty, same as the shootout.

do you see where these "Penalty Shot" rules specify that they only apply to a "Shootout" ?

I can't

to me, these rules apply on every Penalty Shot [mid game / shootout], since i cannot see anything otherwise.

i think that would be awful to see repeatedly, i think it would be a mockery of the sport .... which explains why the NHL says it's legal

Repeatedly? No, that would be stupid. But usually only the ones with the hands of butter can do them well, so it's rare as is.

I have no problem with the lacrosse move. The puck is still coming off the stick and it's a hell of a lot harder than shooting. If someone can pull it off effectively, that's impressive. It widens the game and what is considered possible.

There was a time where goalies were penalized for going down on the ice; I think the game is much better with butterfly saves possible. It's another skillset, just like these shots are another interesting skillset.

James Neal just said the Bruins are a physical team and the Penguins will be ready. I guess that translates to a lot of diving. I hope Lucic takes his head off.

Amazing how he STILL stops that crap more than Bryz.

Examples: take a look at their shootout percentage. It lets you know how a goalie fares alone against shooters. This year, Bryz is at 0%, Henrik at .800. Last year, it's Bryz at .480 compared to Henrik at .720.

The Blues built the Broad Street Bullies...the Flyers built this Bruins team.

Edit: Their PK is absurd.

It was an odd man rush, and the puck could have been stopped. You refuse to blame the goalie in any situation.

I will say it was a hell of a shot, but let's not act like teams don't have break downs. Every team does.

And that was a shot that should have been stopped..... horrible turnover but the puck went right through Khubi. He even knew he should have had it.
