Disgusted isn't the right word. They're fairly confrontational and for people who already don't like rap, Death Grips is almost too much.

They're rather polarizing.

Well, when you go see The Cure you're not really going to think about seeing a black guy, who looks like a crackhead, screaming in a mic with chaotic beats in the background

Personally, I think they're amazing.

I want WU Tang! I really hope they will be added later as the third headliner!

They are like the Choking Victim/Crack RockSteady of the hip hop world then.

I wouldn't lump Cure fans with people who can't handle other kinds of music though. I literally listen to every genre. I was at all the hardcore shows with the extra violent moshpit when Earth Crisis, Ensign, Strife and Snapcase were all the rage. I've been to the Curiosa Festival in Toronto to see The Cure and Muse too.

Also for any interested, CBC just announced their own Festival at the end of May in Toronto. They will also stream it live on their website.

http://music.cbc.ca/#/blogs/2013/3/S...sicca-Festival

I'm definitely going to this one. Sloan is my favourite canadian band.

They have bigger bands than they have in the past (with the exception of a HUGE headliner..), yet you expect the prices to go down?

It's so frustrating to hear people complaining about the ticket prices of Osheaga. Are they living under a rock? Do they not know how much concerts cost nowadays. Osheaga is such a bargain. $235 for 3 days of non stop shows. Jesus, I'm paying like $60 dollars to see the National in a few months and people are bothered by less than $80 a day. So ridiculous.

I'd argue the headliners are, at minimum, on par with last year. Of course, it isn't Eminem or anything, but people need to realize that won't happen again.

Osheaga doesn't interest me at all.

The Cure and The Heavy. That's about it for me.

Waiting for the HeavyMtl lineup...
Any idea about when they will announce the line up for heavy mtl. I'm getting annoyed that all these other festivals are giving the line ups and still nothing from heavy mtl.

It's usually announced before Osheaga. So either they're struggling to piece it together or they're trying to make it epic.

My friend and I are seriously considering buying a ticket just to see The Heavy play "How You Like Me Now?" because that's our go to party song.

But for real, a lot of really cool stuff on there.

I loved that song when it was constantly played in The Wire!

Why is it so expensive though? 235/person for the cheapest option is still a lot.

Then linup is absolutly atrocious but I agree the price isn't that bad at all

To each their own as far as the lineup is concerned. Don't go in you aren't interested in bands. But the price is fairly reasonable as far as festivals go.

I wonder if the rockstar mayhem festival will be part of it like back in 2010? I think they (mayhem) are announcing their line up on the 19th.

I really like the lineup. I am hoping though that one of the 20 more bands to be named is a headliner, since unless they want to have either New Order or The Lumineers headline one of the nights that's what seems to be missing. Ton of bands I want to see though.

Tickets on sale this Friday, do you think it'll sell out?

Ya didn't think so. If I'm making the trip up from Toronto I'd want to do all three days anyways though. It's funny that I lived in Montreal for four years and never made it to Osheaga, but now that I'm in Toronto I'm probably gonna go.
