eh 7/8 is still wide open. Rangers could easily entrench themselves for 7th by that time if they can turn it around...

Still plenty of hockey to be played. But a chance to catch the Pens? At this point? Its a pipe dream. The Rangers have given up WAY too many points for that to happen.

It seems very unrealistic they can compete for 4/5 either...

Just flipped on Pitt vs Boston and I see crisp passing, beautiful wrister from Pitt. Wish we had some semblance of an offense.

Hasn't Nash played the LW before (like in the olympics and stuff)?.. Why not put Nash on the LW and Gaborik back on the RW. **** at least try it!

I can see 5th, no higher than that though.

Nash was mostly a LW in CBJ. Torts moved him to RW, and Gabs to LW when the season started. Tough to complain about Nash at RW this season though.

Yeah I know, not complaining about Nash at all. I just think he'd obviously be much better on the LW, but what the **** do I know.

I'm a big fan of Torts.

This was awful. I saw way too much of 22, and WAY WAY too much of 32.

10 was out there, but who gives a ****. He's useless on the left.

24 and 21 did their jobs, did 'em well.

62 has cooled down. need to get him going a bit. 19 had a few chances, but could have been alot better.

We're far too reliant on Nash. FAR too reliant. Need to be able to win without him scoring.

the 5-27 pairing was pretty awful tonight. Convinced they're playing injured.

Hank wasn't awful, wasn't great. Tonight's goals were on the D. He needed to get one of those, but they weren't soft

Big time. Gabby needs to be back at RW. But I'd be surprised if he even plays in Winnipeg. Judging by his post-game Torts is going to want to send a message. Nash doesn't deserve to be benched, and you know he's not going to bench Richards. Odd man out for the top guys? Gaborik, maybe Hagelin.

Somebody call up Boomer and Carton tomorrow and make Boomer talk about moving Gabs back to RW

now I will say this, if Torts is going to continue to play Gaborik on the LW, then its just better off if we trade him, he simply does not look comfortable at all.

Instead of sitting an obviously out of position Gaborik, or moving a 4th line Haley to the 1st line, maybe it's time to remove the jerk from behind the bench?

I think Torts has more than worn out his welcome.

Such a typical let down game.
They didn't have a great effort last time against Buffalo. Only woke up because of the Richards hit.

I agree that Gabs should be put back at RW. But lets be honest with ourselves, its probably not going to make much of a difference. Gabs lack of intensity and drive has not strictly been because he has been utilized as a LW...

With the recent win, a backup goalie playing, a goalie who had been winless in his last 16 playing, and Buffalo having a bunch of slumping forwards, it would be obvious to anyone following this team that this had letdown written all over it.

Does someone have an actual explanation as to why this team loves helping players out of slumps, or why they can't score on backups?

well obviously I'd fire Torts before I traded Gaborik, but it seems the Rangers arent willing to do that, and would rather play this system.

no, its probably that he's playing with the likes of Brian Boyle and Jt Miller.

Stepan and Callahan with a great play on the goal but that's it just a horrible game. No one deserves a vote so it's good nobody's getting one.
