The article claims he was drafted in 97, so uh.... there's that
Also I'm pretty sure if Linus were to come back and get an NHL deal he'd have to be brought through waivers like ROR.

He wouldn't if he was joining the Oilers since he's on our RFA list.

Agreed, I just mean that would make a team hesitant to trade for him.
Or would that apply to a trade?

I'd be happy to see Omark in an Oilers jersey at least one last time.

We'd have to sign him then play him to get his trade value up. It would be fantastic if we could add him for a couple of weeks prior to the deadline and move him in a package. But I think EV Zug is up 3-2 in their playoff series, so that may be a long shot.
I still think there is a fit for Omark in the NHL on the right team. We just aren't that team.

Is this a Radulov situation?
Meaning, he can come back after the trade deadline?

I am not certain, but I believe he probably could. Which still might be of use to us so we could increase his trade value before the draft and the summer.

I don't think radulov rules apply per se because they were old CBA.

Radulov was a one of a kind. The League waived the rule.

Fair enough. If you say it then I suspect it is accurate. So if Omark is going to play here this season it has to be before the trade deadline.

With April 3rd being the deadline, it's going to be tight to get him in before.
Assuming that Zug keeps winning.

I've been wrong many times.
Here is the thread from the Business Board.

I'd like to see:
Paajarvi-Gagner-Yakupov
Hartikanen/Brown-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Horcoff-Omark
Hartikanen/Brown-Belanger-Jones
That's four pretty good lines, imo.

Forgot to add that. Trade him for a prospect and a pick. Use his money to help resign Gagner and Smid. Omark does what he does, not as well, but at a much cheaper price, imo.

Works for me. I'd add whatever it takes to swap Hemsky for Patrik Berglund.
MPS-RNH-Yakupov
Hall-Gagner-Eberle
Smyth-Berglund-Omark
Brown_Horcoff-Jones/Petrell
But, realistically, I can't see Omark ever playing another game with this club. I still think the Oilers should be targeting Berglund, though. I'd trade Gagner for him, straight up. But I guess that's maybe my Swede bias showing, and a subject for another thread.

Really? The solution to our lack of secondary scoring is to get worse?

And with this post everyone remembers the team already has a better Omark to do the same job. That 3rd line looks better as
Hall-Horc-Hemsky imo

So Zug wins their series and are now on to play Bern in the Semifinals. First 4 games scheduled on March 19th, 21th, 23th and 26th.

only 16 million on the third line! Nice!
Hall should get the most minutes out of any forward every game.

This a thousand times. He generates more scoring chances than the rest of the team combined.
